Sure, that's fine and all, but in-game our power is never wanked up to that degree, and even in Grimoire Guardians are mostly shown as flying by the seat of their pants, trying not to get eternally BTFO.
Based on everything in the game and what is actually played in TDB+TTK storylines, it makes a ton of sense that we'd be capable of defeating Oryx, when you add in the Grimoire, even as fucking zombie Einhejar, it's still a little hard to reconcile only SIX (6) Guardians managing to eliminate Oryx.

On that note, I think scale is one of the biggest problems with Destiny's presentation.

Imagine if the Dreadnaught was a constant warzone with Guardians able to fight in ALL of it's massive corridors, chasms, and ledges. If you were able to SEE the scope, I think it would help a lot. Oryx is distracted as his Dreadnaught is besieged from all sides, but you wouldn't fucking know it by looking at the two guardians jumping around.

Also, Grimoire guardians aren't Player Guardians, who are said to be exceptionally powerful in the light.

Back then, the Traveler was still being drained by the Hive ritual, and attacked by the Black Garden. Now it's healing and growing more powerful.

But I do get it, the scale of the fight was lacking.

What exactly did you want them to be? Just a flat out increase to something? An ability useable by all sub classes? They're useful because a lot of them allows for flexible builds. Giving one extra jump is not useful is 90% of play.
Transversives passive reload is very useful.
The quicker run and turn of dune marchers and frost is useful.
The warlock arms that gave quicker reloading and ads before they fucked them up helped.
Just granting perks is the worst way to do them as well.
Especially as most of the perks that are granted don't really anything else to fight with.
Having shade step and the enhanced radar was cool till ghelons artifact came around though.

Hunters absolutely need the extra jump in PVE. I'd say that outside of crucible, every other hunter exotic is niche compared to it. Don't touch me's or Achlyophage are the niche exotics for raids.

Hunters are already quick, if you let them cover more ground they can basically squeeze out of any tight corner long enough to revive another player, or regen health.
