rape rhinos: 900

rope exploit: you can animation cancel on swings with fiber bindings. you need different timings for tools vs weapons, swords are the most ideal for ani cancel since they swing fastest in the mainhand. what this means is you can mow down trees and rocks and get 5 hits in on a twirly horn antelope, enough to kill it with an iron sword and zero strength before it runs away.you can kill birbs, hyenas, and even rhinos without taking damage. locusts might get a swing in.

grind to level 14

infinite autism exp: antelope trophy or rhino trophy, doesn't matter they're the same experience to craft. you can salvage all materials back from them and recraft over and over.

you must open your inventory and click craft single button. crafting from hotbar or craft all yields no exp gain.

preferably have two to craft so when you break one you're always crafting. requires one shaped wood and one head.

2200 exp per craft, 20 seconds per craft at vanilla rates. that's 396k exp an hour.

to put that in perspective a rank 1 set city npc gives the same exp. 2500 for a rank 2, 3k exp for rank 3 npc. to farm those npcs you're likely repairing and expending leather and iron and steel resources, along with consumables. you may have competition, you may run out of spawns, you may die, you might get pvp'd on. so the city CAN possibly yield more if you have it all to yourself.

yeah, it's in the server setting ini. I did some testing on my local game and while people will say to set it to something like 1000.000 - it fucks with some mobs' animations when they move around. 3500 is good enough I find, stuff doesn't aggro from super far away but it doesn't cause jittery teleport movement (and this was done on local so it's not like there was server lag).

Looks like its time to call it a day. The games content is toos parse right now. The mod community hasnt gotten on its feet and the mods are all buggy as hell so you cant use them. The devs are only now fixing most of the exploits while introducing new bugs. Archery dstill doesnt work. Half the vg regulars have already quit and the other half want to slit there throats. Official servers are gay to the max. etc etc.

Im going to wait a few months until they introduce some new content and then start a new 2x server. In the mean time theres no reason to keep playing.

It's a flaw of how Early Access works in general. If you've ever tested a normal, non-early access game that's actually in alpha, you'd know that generally an alpha is barely even a game, just the foundation of a game.

Early access gives devs skewed priorities, since they want enough content to keep the playerbase entertained while they work out the kinks in the base foundations of the game.

Think of it like this, if a normal alpha is like a flat, featureless plains on top of relatively solid bedrock, an early access alpha is a forest planted on a hollow, rickety mess of hastily constructed scaffolding.

This obviously causes problems later on when weird bethesda game-esque shit starts happening, because changing one seemingly minor thing can have vast, unexpected consequences.

I just wish javelins stacked as it's gone if you throw it. Doesn't even need to be a 10 stack like arrows, could just be 5 like how it's normally handled in M&B. Otherwise it's pretty fun to be a sort of hoplite. More damage than the stone sword but not quite as much as a pike, but you at least have a shield for spiders and archers. I never get around to making anything past wooden targes so I don't really know how durable the iron one is.

Theyre extremely rare. Try the cannibal camp to the west of the river fork for an easy camp to check, but for guaranteed spawns check the pirate ship in the top right of the map or the relic hunter city in the top left of the map.

From a dozen or couple years of reading Howard's works, I guess I've become too old timey to appreciate videogame/comic iterations of them.
Not old timey enough to use "Le" and all caps apparently.

It's just all gritty gratuitous nudity that doesn't really capture that rough-hewn charm that Howard's writing weaved, I recognize that this is very, very subjective and I'm, according to the number of active players on all of their games throughout the years, in the absolute minority.

It's missing a lot of the actual might that the stories conveyed, the grand cities and massive armies at least from what I can tell from the occasional footage I've seen but instead appears to just focus on the "ooh grand desert start from nothing try to survive"-mentality which the countless games it draws from have already done.

I don't think exiles features the massive diversity of climates and thematics of the regions in his stories either, but I could be absolutely in the wrong here, I haven't even played it so I am judging it on their past works. Sorry for the rushed writing and I will emphasize that I'm probably in the extreme minority here

desu I don't think Conan would have quite the same charm that SS13 has. I liked SS13 cause you could do essentially anything you wanted, the tools were there to make it happen, and every round was more or less unique.

One thing is that SS13 works well since it's a round based system. I don't know if a SS13 formula in a persistent environment would last well without DF levels of depth to keep people engaged as time went on and people accomplished things. After all, what fun would SS13 be if some guy finishes his un-fuckable perfect engines, another made the station traitor-proof, security identified/dealt with all the antags? It would be as if extended was the default game type, traitors respawned but couldn't conceal their traitor status, and nothing ever reset. A 3D SS13 would be great, I just don't think this game could support it without a massive overhaul.

Additionally there would would need to be quality admins to ensure people followed the rules without being shitlords about it.
