Is there a way to practice combos? I cannot tell usually if something is a true combo or not, at first I thought the top heavy off of Kensais guardbreak is guaranteed, but the FAQ says to use side instead. Also it says to use a top heavy off of a wall throw, but I always accidentally get the unblockable

No gear dominion when? it's already become aids with full revenge builds needing only 3 blocks to trigger revenge and 2 shotting people.

Had they honestly been any other combination of characters, I would probably have fought it out. But two PKs are really, really difficult to deal with as Raider, since they'll shred through your Revenge-health so quickly that you can barely line up one hit on one of them before you get shat on.

We were getting constantly killed by two PKs with gear level in the 90+'s. To the point where they wouldn't capture points and just go for kills. Which is bothersome, due to how PK is currently the character that benefits the most from gear out of anybody. Simply due to the fact that all her bleeds and feats get multiplicative damage from Attack.
A PK with just half-decent blue gear will do 190+ damage with a catapult, if you're at the edge of it. Let alone the fact that side-lights on a half-geared PK will do 20 - 25 damage a hit. Which is pretty absurd since a base Conq heavy is 24 damage.

But we won in the end, so eh. I should probably just stop tying in chat altogether and do /mute all in the future.

PKs really are a nightmare in 4v4s.

If you get one in the side, it's nearly impossible to keep your guard external and block whatever the other guy is swinging at you, and they kill you through revenge so fast. With their speed it's pretty easy for them to come in and stab you in the sides and then run away if you turn to face them. My only hope usually is to catch them charging with revenge and kill the other guy before they can get up.

Is the hate for the Warden's vortex fueled bu Tru3ta1en't constant 8 hours a day whining on the subject with a bunch of the retards watching him just repeating what he said? Literally every part of that combo is avoidable. Removing GB from the charge makes it an useless move unless they increase the animation speed.

You can counter 66% of the outcomes with a side dash + light. A ton of the classes already have built-in tools to counter the combo outright (think LB shove, Raider top light stun, all the side dash + attack assassin classes and Kensei moves, etc. Even if you are not one of those classes, you can literally unlock the camera to get a backroll that covers more distance so that avoid a potential rushup + side heavy followup which is the usual response. And that is assuming you did not guess right and end the vortex either way.

I am not saying that the combo is useless and anyone can easily counter it. i am just not saying it is not the other way around either. People will latch onto anything and claim it is the worst thing ever and stick to arguments of authority/majority even when presented with facts that point to the contrary.

PKs boost attack, because all your damage increases multiplicatively with it. That's how, when you get the 3-stab back, you'll most likely be able to do 90% of someone's health in bleed damage when you stack Attack on someone who has low defense. It also boosts the damage on your feats, so your catapult becomes a guaranteed one-hit-kill on anybody caught in the radius. Anywhere in the radius.

interesting, so max attack then secondary defense or stamina cost reduction?

I've been using stam cost reduction but the more i think about it the more i realize that it will only matter in the initial 1v1's of 4v4 game modes.

defense seems better especially with revenge gained by injury, i'm running out of stamina like 10 times a fight with pk's zone attack anyway, might as well add a few more times i guess

im guessing you've seen the tests for stats and that defence out scales attack but even for characters like roach, doing max attack you can delete people pretty quick so i dont think defence is always the way depends on the character.
