I know that's how it works for ranged weapons, if you have a paired main weapon your primary is affected by something like agility boost. On the topic of familiarity? I don't know. Nor do I know if the effects stack.

I know that a critical health build's ranged attack can benefit from the effects on the main weapon. But where does that end? Does it stack with similar main weapon affects? Somebody has probably tested it but I don't know. I haven't kept up for a few days.

Teach me how to demolish the lvl70 Onryoki in region 3. I'm lvl70 myself; using spear+2kat. At best, he kills me in two hits, and my assist doesn't do shit. God of Wind gets punished instantly, and the poking game with spear doesn't work much better.

Only real advice is dodge better desu. If you're staying behind him he's not so bad because the only attack he has is that spinning punch, if you're staying in front of him and are patient you can just let him do his body slam and hit him after by zoning him. But really, just get better at fighting Onryoki. It's not a challenging moveset.

you can test it yourself with daibi washi level 30 and kato level 30. daibi washi has 12.5% quick attack damage and kato 12.5% close combat damage so both spirits doing a quick attack should do same damage but they don't daibi washi does more

He has the easiest moveset to dodge in the game since he's slow as shit.

He only really does 3 attacks

>the spin attack, he'll swipe a couple of times and then dive towards you while spinning

I think he has a ranged attack too where he throws a chunk of mud or it might be a rock but that's really slow too, ezpz to dodge

My advice is to just bait his attacks. Hit him a couple of times then back off, keep doing that for a while since he has a lot of health.

It's hard on way of the strong since he has a ton of health and can kill you in 1 hit most of the time. It's just all about patience.

Way of the Strong Onryoki is a fucking jackass because of one reason. He gets a second type of toss pretty much only designed to hit you the first few times and never again.

He grabs it, and throws while turning. It's a pain in the ass

There aren't any of the 'op'd Spirits. A lot of them sits right next to each other, they're all pretty good.
Kato, Isonade, Daiba, Raiken, Enko, Bear, Genbu, Tanuki & Fuse-Ishi are great.
Though if you have a full Fanatic set it's really good with Suzaku.

Oh, so that's why you guys were going on about toughness. Way of the Strong is literally impossible without having it maxed out. I feel stupid for building around Agility bonuses now.

No problem. Suzaku is great for amrita farming and general use because it gives you a huge amount of extra amrita while active and because of it's high recovery, you can keep it up for a really long time as long as you're killing enemies or looting.

Paired Raiken has a great living weapon rate and charges every few kills outside of LW. It also does good damage to boot and it's guardian spirit attack/moment talisman attack is incredibly good.

Enko is similar to Kato except it charges a bit slower and gives you a lot of damage if you use heavy attacks. It has a huge modifier on living weapons and it's guardian/moment attack is really strong against single targets.

Those three are really the strongest contenders for regular progression use; everything else I would consider utility. Aya-Komori is great if you're stacking back damage, though.

But frankly, it doesn't compare to fanatics or kingo or warrior of the west. Buffing up the iai is fine but iai striking with an end game build is something that's pretty much unnecessary in most circumstances. Unless you're fighting a boss and exhausted his ki and are dual iai striking him and then delivering a final blow, why iai over actually just attacking normally?

I would love to be able to go back to dual katanas but the support isn't there. I also like the kusarigama but the Iga Jonin set is fucking trash. That's just how it is. There's not enough decent diversity or parity between sets. Spear and sword are the only weapon classes that get the 30% bonus damage against element afflicted targets and that's fucking huge. That's 30% on ALL ATTACKS, not just sign of the cross.

/vg/ will hate me for telling the truth but ninjutsu is shit so Hanzo's set is shit as well. Red demon is really light and provides some of the strongest benefits available on a set. If you use a katana or spear, it's kind of a no-brainer.

Even for big stuff. I was recently schooled by another anon on this fact so I've taken it to heart. Since then I've tried it on all manner of bosses. Anyways:
After an enemy starts an attack animation, they usually use lockon to spin and correct to your position. I.e; yoki big hit swings. Monks sumo slaps. Tengu spin kicks.
With blinding powder they will attack the direction they are facing and nothing else. Even works on wheel monks. Pretty good. Almost broken

So I just reforged my Kusarigama to have both Agility damage bonus and Change to attack Dexterity, both B-.
My question though is does it matter since Kusarigama already goes with Dexterity? I have a ton of skill should I try to get change to Skill instead?

What should my stats be for going full Ninjutsu? Already know about Dex and Spirit is at 25.
Should I level Body, Heart, Stamina, Strength and Skill to 10 just in case?

Take this advice with a grain of salt, and I haven't finished the game yet, but from what I'm seeing, you can add some points to Skill. It adds some points to your Jutsu damage and to Kusarigama damage. I'm using a Kusarigama with change attack to Skill, and it just melts HP. Even without that stat, you'd still get some +1-3 per point.
