Yeah, that's the thing. The only red units in the arena that are a problem are the sword lords and Abel destroys those easily, even at 4* I feel like that would be to big of a loss were I to level up Sharena. I'm not really sold on her (except her high stat total).

I'm not a fan of Robin because -Atk on him REALLY sucks. He goes even with Takumi because of it, and I already have other units to take care of Takumeme.

Sounds like you've convinced yourself against Robin and you don't need him. So that narrows it down to Sharena or Abel.

I can make your decision for you
1) The arena (and quests) will give you more feathers. Hell, you can even BUY your way, tangentially, into getting more feathers. You can eventually promote both.
2) You'll still be summoning with orbs in the future, right? WHAT IF you roll another Abel? WHAT IF he's got FANTASTIC IVs? WHAT IF he's already a 5-Star to begin with? Promoting this Abel might be something you regret.
3) But you will only get ONE Sharena. She can't be summoned. You'll never get a 5-Stara Sharena unless you promote her.

I vote promote Sharena. You'll eventually be able to promote Abel, too (in about 4 weeks). Plus, you might summon another Abel and he could be better in every way to your current one and he'll be the obvious one to promote in retrospect.

Besides, even 4-Star Abel fucks up those red swords. He doesn't NEED to be 5-Stars.

Because with all my Golds @ lvl 40 and all my Silvers >lvl 20 and ready to promote when I get enough feathers, that leaves all these 3-2-1 Stars to promote for basically no feather cost at all. I only need to get them up to level 20 to do it which costs basically NO stamina in the training tower.

And with a dancer, a healer and a buffer to help my little 1-Star POS up the rankings, it takes, like, 20 stamina and about 10 minutes. I end up playing the game MORE often now that I can constantly fight as compared to when I had to wait to get 20 stamina to attempt another Lunatic level.

This game is fun.

If there's one thing that I appreciate from the newer games, it's being able to just buy the promotion Seals and promote your units outright. They will be limited to how far you've progressed in the story but at least this system doesn't require you to use a guide and just train your army sort of at your own leisure. All this buried Seals under the sand, outrageously expensive and rare Seals, Seals that come extremely late in the game, Seals on enemies that have fucking drop rates, etc. is pretty fucking retarded.

Fuck this shit and fuck Fire Emblem. I am permanently done with this shit series and I hope Switch and Echoes sell so badly that IS closes shop.

I already have Sharena. I'm not talking about feathers by the way, just who to include in my poorfag team. It occurred to me that based on the tier list, I can have two S-tiers (Sharena and Olivia) and three A-ranks (Anna, Gunther, Cecilia) even if they are neutral. I didn't consider Cecilia though since the very reason I haven't rerolled is because I have a 4-star +atk -def Kagero which is the core of my team, so I'm wondering if Gunther's bulk makes up for his otherwise lackluster stuff. I can also just not use the last rank up and keep it at +3 atk to adjacent allies (unless the tool tip is so garbage it actually refers to cavalry even before rank 3).

Maybe I'm wrong though and I need Cecilia to deal with armor fags?
