I've recently got back into CSGO after playing off and on since its release. Are casual vanilla community servers completely dead?

I wouldn't mind the terrible map pool and sketchy skill levels of Valve's Casual servers, but they completely remove the economy aspect of the game.

In 1.6 and Source I played on servers with good sized map pools, with fun custom maps like nightfever, vegas, the CPL maps, etc, but I can't find anything like this is GO now. Any better way to filter through servers? or does anyone know of a server like this on US West?

What are some underrated skins? I just got interested in StatTrak and skins, and everyone memes about Asiimov and Redline when they look unsuiting trash. I just got a Fubar Sawed-Off and a Man-O'-War Negev, both StatTrak and less than 35 cents. I wish the Cartel AK had gotten the same treatment but enough people have enough taste to keep the price up. Condition quality is a meme and I'm surprised some skins don't get more expensive with wear.

basically a god with awp but i see it as a crutch so i try to not use it at all, i buy nothing other than ak-m4-ump.

here's a lil tip for below mge, learn the rifles and don't use anything other than ak-m4-ump combo, especially no p90 cuz it forms very bad habits that doesn't suit cs:go playstyle.
as you learn to use the rifles and practice your spray and movement you can easily become dmg-le

When I practice on recoil master, I feel like I'm a God, but when I'm in game, I get lose around the time when the spray goes to right when using AK.

You don't. Shotguns are ambush weapons, and smg rushes are situational, if you're using it over a main weapon when the other team buys up, 9/10 times an smg cod rush will fail.

Lag compensation. Shotguns work as a spread of bullets individually fired, all supposed to do damage, if you're unlucky with rego then 1-3 will actually register out of like 8.

I'm not super high rank myself but I still rolled with the Nova on anti ecos and force buys, you just need to learn to utilize flashes and smokes.
Example: Inferno mid on CT side can straight up be rushed down to fuck banana players in the ass against less coordinated teams because from the right side of middle an AWPer on T ramp can't see you, so lob a smoke down middle, run down it, and flash in front of T ramp and just push in the shitholes of the people in Banana with your Mag7/Nova
