Personally, I'd read the first part of the manga, since Episode 1 in the VN drags the most, then decided where you want to go from there.

Yeah, another reason why I don't buy into us being the masterminds is that in a meta sense most of us were already questioning the promo materials before this, and that curiosity mirrors Saihara much more than the in-game audience.

The other big clue why we're supposed to be Saihara is...Ouma. He keeps telling Saihara that he'll kill him in his final FTE, yet Saihara keeps going back because obviously you want to find out whether he's lying too, and he's happy with that because to Ouma a not boring person is someone who'll actually challenge their own way of thinking.

I mean, why else are we told that the audience loves Dangan Ronpa and it's gone on for 53 seasons of the same rehashed hope vs. despair nonsense?
