I'm making a Te/Br as my second character and I have a few questions. Is ketos proi necessary, or can I use another PB? Do I need to JA buffs and zanverse? Would an all class katana be useful? Does attack advance work on wand gear explosions?

Ketos proi is not necessary but it helps with tech spamming. I'm not sure what you mean by JA buffs since there aren't any on either Te or Br's tree but you do JA your techs and smacks, people also expect a Te to handle zanverse on bosses. A katana would be useful for guren dashing and that's about it. Attack advance does not work on explosions but they do give your actual smacks a nice chunk of damage.

You can't unlock subclasses and featured quests unless you do the Ep4 story up to unlocking Tokyo.
It's one of the first couple quests, so you should definitely knock that out first even if you want to play through the story from the beginning of Ep1.

some pso-w fag pointed out the other problem with sega's brilliant "first person(and their partymembers, even though if your leader abandons you don't have a choice but to go with them) to leave a full raid is blocked from doing that raid for the rest of that EQ period no matter why or how they leave" thing.

raids sometimes bug and can't be finished. if you get say, a PD session where the server burps and he stays out of range during the third phase or something similarly dumb, someone has to volunteer to jump on a grenade to let everyone else go get a non-bugged run. think about that a sec. how many people do you think are going to want to be the one who gets fucked over because sega thinks full raids never fail and therefore a spike in raid failures has to be because of a spike in people leaving.

you wanna interfere with people who just wanna ditch and find a new run? put on a 5min timer or something when someone d/cs in a raid, and rig it so that relogging in that time skips ship/charaselect and the lobby and shoves you right back into the raid you d/ced from. and then slap on the penalty for someone who waits longer than that to relog. it's faggy either way but at least this way you don't fuck honest people.

How the fuck do I get good at this game. Lvl 48 RA/HU and I cant seem to do dick for damage, max being like 4k with excessive PA spam with a launcher.

try to tag weakspots and not just random bits of enemies or bosses, also remember rifle for bossing launcher for mobbing. not the other way around.

Look into getting the Launcher Nonweak bonus ring and Divine Launcher type-0 for braindead mobbing.

For bossing, rifle is the obvious choice. Use weak bullet on an existing weak point for fuckloads of damage. End Attract and Satellite Cannon are what you should be using when possible, but you're immobile while charging them so be careful.

Launcher's Concentrate One and Cluster Bullet are good to use after pulling stuff in with Gravity Bomb.You need to rely on hitting weak points with them unless you have the Non-weak ring. Sneak Shooter with Rifle is also great for quick weak point attacks if you don't have time to charge anything.

PSO2 isn't really p2w, the stat boosts you can get as premium are pretty minor. As for the grind, would you consider doing a boss that takes 10-15 minutes about a dozen times for an endgame weapon too grindy? That's the base amount of grinding, you can go way deeper but the bare minimum is passable. Leveling is probably more annoying than the actual endgame grinding.

I think this is something to do with how windows is scaling the game, or something? Did you disable high dpi scaling or whatever its called? I used to have that problem and doing that fixed it.

That's not what it's for. Air Reversal lets you get back on your feet the frame you get knocked back, if you do it perfectly you never move from the position you were in and can go right back to attacking. The default reversal doesn't happen until you are about to hit the ground at the end of the knockback, meaning you lose a couple seconds and have to get back to the boss before you can continue dealing damage. Even on ranged classes the difference in time that you don't have control of your character between the two is significant enough to make the ring a good pick.

The tedious thing about Ep1-3 is that you're using a matterboard which requires you to go a certain area (single party usually), find the cutscene and then quit the quest. You then have to do the story mission at some point which some make you have to run twice since it has multiple choices. Storyboard is much better since it's just all cutscenes that you can skip and not have to go to an area unless it's a story mission (bonus for being activated from the bridge).

The good thing about the matterboard is that it's full of goodies like Tri-boosts and such. EP2 is pretty alright due to Emergency code: Abyss

That's one of the bosses that's locked behind story progression. It spawns as an Emergency Trial in most exploration quests but only if everyone in the MPA has progressed through the Ep4 up to the point where you fight it. If a single person in your MPA hasn't bothered with the story quests it won't spawn. As far as I know it's just Esca Ragnus and Maxwell that work like that at the moment.
Those Xie quests were for the Vegas LQ that A World Engulfed in Shadows replaced. I don't think there is really any reason to try and go through them right now unless you still need the ones for the Bingo.

Just go for it. It's far from aged and until Sega decides to either make 12* sets or rolls out 13* units there isn't going to be anything that replaces it. And even once there is something better, you still have to actually get it. Have fun collecting every pieces from a potential Esca Deus set when those aren't going to be tradeable whatsoever and most likely will have the same absurd drop chances as Astra or Invade. Austere is going to last quite a while longer, I'd be surprised if anything coming out this year will really be a viable replacement for it.

I think you can get it very, very, rarely from XH Abductions.
There was a bug where you could buy units with Returner 2 on it from the Unit Shop and combine those to make the better Returner abilities. Sega banned a whole bunch of people for abusing it but didn't do a great job cleaning up the units so some people still have their OP gear from that

If you have to ask you definitely can't afford it. 3 returner III with a darkness soul are 40% chance to make returner IV. before that you'd first have to upslot your returner IIIs by putting 3 together for 100% transfer or 2 with darkness soul for 60%. That's why people who affix this unironically bought out people's title units that start on higher slots instead of uplsotting themselves. Finally 3 returner IV have a 20% chance to make returner V. No way to boost that, but atleast you can transfer 3 returner V with 100% (2 with 30%) chance once you made them.

It's probably the single hardest affix in the game. I'd rather try to 6s or even 7s an astral soul on a unit than a 5s Returner V. Unless you have billions of meseta, never think about returner again.
