I just got back into Gwent and out of nowhere my Crach/Axeman deck is performing pretty well!
Will my deck suck on higher ranks? I'm still playing against plebs I feel..

Skellige is strong right now, but Crach isn't really used much in higher ranks. It's either Harald wounding/axemen, or Bran discard decks. The latter is stronger imho.

What I've gathered so far:

>There will be multiple long campaigns for real money (8-10 hours long)
>they will be set in a free roam environment
>50/50 division between playing gwent and doing something else/exploring
>they will feature quality writing and grey choices as usual
>they won't give the players any advantage that they can't also achieve through playing for free
>but there will be some new cards though, queen meve is confirmed to be a new NR leader that appears in the campaign, meaning these new cards will probably be given to campaign players for free while others must open them in kegs or craft them
>first campaign is about the battle of the bridge in Rivia and is supposed to be significantly shorter, but also completely free

Nah, gwent has a cult following and a unique format in CCG's. It won't die, at least not before launch. I could see them having trouble coming up with new content down the road though.

Elder scrolls had some good ideas, but the pick a card and avatar based legendaries just left a bad taste in my mouth. Yeah it's less jew than hearthshit, but they made it feel like you could pick your way into a corner and be fucked if your deck suddenly fell out of favor.

You're probably going to get it again after the wipe since it's a gift and not a reward

SK discard is ridiculous right now if you don't have weather monsters in your deck. Hope they balance it better next patch. If you're NR Radovid and you're facing Bran decks (those are super common right now too) you can pretty much concede already. Only Nilfgaard and Monsters have a chance since they can manipulate the graveyard. Don't know why they felt the need to make a deck that can burn through all their cards every game, can revive units not one, not three, but 5 times, have QG cards that revive each other, have a werewolf that can't be removed without wasting all your removal cards and on top of that uses ridiculous base strength buffs. Those are fucking amazing! I was in one and I tried to meme Operator + Cantarella + Calveit, then use Letho on his side and steal units from my opponent and then Dbomb the row and use Calveit to reclaim Letho.

My opponent knew all this since he had the same fucking deck (he also used operator on Cantarella and both had 3 of them) shit was insane we were always killing the spy units on our side of the board to avoid Calveit to gain value.
