Orochi requires some thought because mixups require reading and opponent, kind of like how Warden is harder than people think because both people are guessing when a shoulder bash happens and if the other person guesses right the Warden takes damage. Same thing for Orochi, because if you guess wrong he'll use the anime slash on you, whatever it's called.

PK and Assassin are kind of spammy. Not that people that are good with them are unskilled or something, but there's less thought behind it

You sit in top stance against a lot of characters(if you aren't an Assassin) because some overheads are really hard to react to. You can just react to the side swings like that and if you are fast enough on your heavy you're already top for a parry.

If you notice they're the sidestep-attack type(usually assassins) give em a feint, they usually take the bait if you don't do it over and over to make it obvious

If they don't swing at you try to guardbreak them, if they're on point with techs try feinting into a GB, or doing a fatman charge to knock them down and then get some damage out of it(I don't play Shugoki but I know they can hit me with at least a light, if not a uncharged heavy, you can even be greedy and charge one up while they stand up to see if they can parry it), or doing the backbreaker grab after a feint

How is this even possible assuming you aren't completely new? You just let him drain stamina doing his wind up, avoid the swing however you chose, dodge the follow-up shield bash, then hit him. You can also just let him grey his stamina then bully him with guard breaks and bashes. It's so easy. I'm shocked you think he's on the same level of warden or roach.

Is there more to this game than just reacting to which side you are being attacked from,feinting your heavies to bait parries or just so that won't be able to block in time and reacting to guardbreaks/orange bashes,kicks etc? Yeah sometimes you have to guess things in situation like vortex but that's pretty much it, right?

A shugoki repeatedly runs into me and I can't sidestep it without falling down. I've been using repeated parries as a crutch, what do? also am raider.

So I have Lawbringer to prestige 2 and. . . I just don't know what to do. It feels like I'm so slow, that I can't switch my stance fast enough. Maybe it's because I'm not seeing the opponent and not reacting fast enough. I get demolished by warlords and PKs and, since they're so popular, it's all you'll ever see in the high level play.

I don't get why I have to choose certain characters to stay relevant in the high level meta. I want to be a cool knight with a poleaxe. I want to be able to choose my character and just have him be all right. . . not even good, but just all right.

I just don't know what to do anymore. Should I just stop playing until they change him? That's what I really want to do right now. I just feel so demoralized. . .

So I just finished the Vikings campaign missions. Jesus, is Runa how the Valk was in the alpha where everyone said she's OP? Cause she can kick ass like nobody's business. I took on those 2 Shugokis and a roach at the end of the level with ease on realistic. Is there a way to disable mouse guarding? I've rebound my guards to my movement keys and find them to work much better but sometimes I fuck up my guard because I move the mouse a little bit at the last second. I don't intentionally use mouse guarding anymore, only accidentally.

I think the salt is more over that the Nobushi's poke bleed is a lot more damage then a LA-slap from a Kensei, Warden what have you, and stacks with every other poke and bleed she has.

Unlike the PK's , which is broken and caps off at a point.
