In normal dungeons? No not really unless they died and got ressed by a smn or they had to ress dps a bunch in one fight. Using a little ballad between pulls is good if they are aoeing (holy & gravity are quite taxing on mp). In DF trials only if they had to ress a bunch because people keep messing up, same for DF raids. Savage Raids are more hit or miss depending on your overall parties skill level.

That explains everything. PLD doesn't get his Tank stance until 40, so they struggle.
Once you have Shield Oath, it becomes a lot easier. For trash, spam 2-3 flashes. For bosses, a single Rage of Halone should be enough.

AST you just heal, use Noct because instant cast shield is OP. You don't have Cleric so the only DPS you'll be doing is to heavy people with stella.

On bard you just try to poke at people who you can safely hit without getting yourself killed by over extending, you'll spend a lot of time outside wm but you'll have to be around Quick Nocks range to do optimal dmg with it off. Mostly you'll be trying to burst down healers and other dps as tanks can be very difficult to kill with a competent healer. I mostly just use WM for crystals and bursting someone

For both of them please read over the PvP skills and slot them somewhere on your hotbar as they are rather useful.

I forgot to mention if you do go as healer please heal other nearby alliance members if possible as well, it can be very annoying when your healer is dead and another healer just kinda chilling doesn't toss you a heal. If someone on your team gets something called "Battle High" making them your focus target and giving them extra love is a good idea as they will most likely be focused by the enemies. (these are just for frontlines and not feast)
