-At Nights, Imp move around a lot more, allowing you to come across them more often if you get caught at night outside your house.
-Shellbacks (Actually called Kappas in the code funnily enough) roam more during the day and do not attack you the second they see you, but assume a defensive position and can be scared away with torches.
-At night, Shellbacks and other 'passive' mobs sleep
-Killing baby Shellbacks angers adult ones and then makes them hostile to you
-Killing all Shellbacks and destroying their nests stops them from respawning
-After a set amount of time, baby Shellbacks become adult ones and spawn new babies, meaning you need to occasionally cull them in the loaded cell or they overrun you
-Allow enemies to jump down from small ledges, instead of making them pathfind around a cliff or get stuck
-Spiders hate light and shouldn't during the day, add spider nests which players can burn to remove spider spawns for that nest
-Remove gazelle/antetlope drift nonsense
-Hyenas are cowardly and more nocturnal, reduce daytime spawn and activity, increase nighttime spawn and activity
-hyenas aren't gregarious, they shouldn't hunt in packs and only congregate in their dens or around corpses for feeding time
-hyenas only attack you if you have killed something recently or are injured, they like to feed on weak prey
-Crocodiles are ambush predators, shorten their aggro range

They can make it so it is harder to summon one, and basically put a target on the head of the person who did the summon for like 30 min or something, and award anyone who kills the guy extra XP, or maybe mats so they could rebuild or something.

As it is right now it is too easy for one person to get the materials for a summon, and there really is no reason to NOT destroy another person's shit. It takes more effort to build a good base than it is to destroy one, which is unbalanced as fuck.

The avatars are really a mistake.

I mean, they're glorious as fuck, just look at them, they can completely destroy a whole fort and all the stored resources in under a minute.

That's cool as shit, but that's the problem.

No matter how hard they are (or should be as they are fucking easy to farm), and even if you have a server wide alert with a big ray of light pointing to the player, even if it took 5 minutes to summon, it changes nothing to the fact that it can destroy your base in seconds.

A clan could have spent hundreds of man-hours building their fort, then it's completely gone and all you have left are your levels and recipes.

It's just too much really.

Look at Vesper's base, it was goddamn beautiful. Vesper wasn't even in a clan and was generally a pretty cool guy, but now all he built is gone just because.

I do think avatars need to be harder to summon by quite a few degrees though, you're right. People can do stuff like store resources away from their main fort, make sure everyone in the server knows they have an avatar ready to go in retaliation if you fuck with their shit, use some of those man-hours to raid others and stall the progress on avatar farming, etc.

The rationale for them being removed is pretty fine, but I think there are a lot of opportunities for them to make the game interesting as people learn the 'meta' of playing around avatars. Once the rate for farming them and duration of summon are figured out, and once some sort of counter that larger forts/cities can implement is introduced.

I think your opinion is valid and I'm not playing right now for similar reasons, but shitty argument regardless.

The game needs PvP zones. Places that are rich in resources should be flagged for PvP. Have PvP applied as a debuff that dissipates over a short period when you leave the flagged area, so you can't have chickenshit players who kill someone and then get inside a safe zone.

Have your religious preference show up next to your name so you know who worships who, use that to justify grouping with similar people so that clans have a better chance of being more than a group of butt buddies. Be flagged as a heretic if you try to follow more than one god.

Avatars should cost more and it should take a long time to craft.

Once the ritual to craft the avatar item is starting, maybe announce it to the entire server?

Like say nolife McGee farms up for set Avatar. His altar is sitting outside his base unprotected, he begins crafting the item to summon the avatar of set and a Server wide message goes out to everyone.

"NOLIFE MCGEE IS PERFORMING A DARK RITUAL TO SUMMON SET TO THIS WORLD"

This then allows the entire server to try and stop them from creating this item and protecting their bases.

If the server fails to stop nolife, then nolife now has the power to wipe out a base of a well established clan.

If the server succeeds then the altar/resources are lost.

It would ad more depth to the game and balance out the fact that some sperg cant just wipe out bases no problem.

A while back Absolutely Haram took a romp through the southern end and we found Readtitle's shack. Obviously we killed him, but Edge showed up and killed Spanky and Jonny. I managed to take him out and took his gear as well.

We figured they would be at a disadvantage temporarily, with their gear stolen so we returned to level the shack, only to find that he basically had Line and Edge as fucking bodyguards. They were just as well geared since they've got the means, we got torn apart, and Readtitle got the spoils, to include our own steel implements.

Super fun regardless of the Edge/Line cuckmancing.

1 game days isn't that much considering the efforts.
Summoner would spend 1 and a bit game days PLUS the material gatherings trying to bring the god into the world.
Killing the summoner would insta-disable the god, so a summoner would need to be safe. He can't be inside his base because the god will wreck it, so he has to be somewhere where he can be reached.

The point is to balance the fact that Avatars should be END GAME. Avatars should be really rare and only if certain costly prerequisites are met. Buffing them would defeat that purpose.

As they are now, you could summon 3 avatars within the span of one week.

The whole server message thing was just something to use as a placeholder while I found an artist and sound engineer to help with setting up the ambience of summoning an altar.

I don't want to just reuse assets in the game files to fit my purpose.

Currently working on a mod that allows players to craft Dogs of the Desert armor if they capture a T2 or higher Armorer thrall from them.

I was thinking T2 thrall would have 1 recipe at random, T3 would have 2-3 random recipes and T4 named would have the entire set.

That is the point. Gods kill any sort of real pvp. When fags can just farm mats for a god in a few hours, why even bother to build a glorious base that you need to probe to find weaknesses to? Gods incentivize everyone to build regular shitshacks and/or hiddent bases that gods can't get to. Everyone just wastes time gather ing materials to buld a T3 shrine and wreck everyone, or at least as some sort of counter-offensive. Any other sort of survival gameplay, such as trading, cities, and player outposts are eliminated because a single guy can wipe everything out with a single summon. Its freaking stupid and really shouldn't even be in the game since there is no real counter.

There's actually a variety of shit. To the east is ocean with tropical islands, sort of an extension of the river, there's even trees.

To the north is well known, it's the placeholder for the highland region that's planned. There are trees in the area of this that's near the savannah, as well as a rather surprising elk spawn locations.

South and West are both dunes, although they get absurdly large in some places. West is notable in that iron, coal, stone, and both hyenas and locusts can be found past the god wall, although the latter two are kind of unreliable, since they wander into and out of the god wall.

As for what happens after a certain distance past the invisible wall, the world eventually just ends and you can fall off the map. Fall a certain distance out of world and you do get teleported on land somewhere near where you fell off, interestingly enough.
