I keep hearing that star force adjusts itself. For example, you have a 12 star weapon but it had one failed slot that you clean slate and then scroll, the added stats from star force will adjust itself accordingly.

Here's a post from a year ago:
For armors and accessories, you gain 2 all stats for each star at 1-5 enhancements and 3 stats for 6-15 enhancements. For weapon, it depends of the attack (or magic attack) on the weapon itself. You will gain the same number of all stats like armor plus
4atk if your weapon has 150-199atk | 5atk if your weapon has 200-249atk | 6atk if your weapon has 250-299atk | 7atk if your weapon has 300-349atk | 8atk if your weapon has 350-399atk | etc.
It's recommended to fully scroll your weapon before doing any starforce enhancement on your weapon to gain the maximum atk.
As for the number of stars on your equips: Star Force Tiers Here are the different level tiers for the max star changes: Lv. 94 or lower: 5 stars (Superior equipment: 3) Lv. 95 – 107: 8 stars (Superior equipment: 5) Lv. 108 – 117: 10 stars (Superior equipment: 10) Lv. 118 – 127: 12 stars (Superior equipment: 10) Lv. 128 – 137: 13 stars (Superior equipment: 12) Lv. 138 or higher: 15 stars (Superior equipment: 15)

i play this game very sparsely. i play about a week of this game every 9 months and just grind out lowlevel characters and do dumb shit mostly because the grind for high level characters is honestly kinda of annoying, especially when i have to relearn what my character does every time i play.

as for the $400, i dont remember too well. i know i spent a bunch of it on slot expansions on my bowmaster, and then did some stuff with the gacha, but i dont think i got anything i could use back then.
