It was a real struggle for a while, since we had people changing almost each day. When you take few new people and then reassign new numbers, it's like a days worth of step back. Yesterday we had 3 guaranteed clears in a span of 2-3h, but we didn't know that whenever a person with a red/blue buff enters the area of the opposite buff, it causes an instant wipe. If the 1st NA raid had the same people each time with the same numbers, it's solid clear potential as you don't really have to adapt to the situation. You already know what's coming up at the timing you've gotten used to.

You shouldn't pick a class based on looks or arbitrary archetype of a character you like. The mechanics of this game work differently and less intuitively than other MMOs.

The good sword class, Blade Master, is available to Jins and Yuns and is a good tank and has high burst DPS. The other sword class, Blade Dancer, is available to Lyns and ruins everything for everyone it actually has p. good sustained and burst DPS thanks to a powerful anicancel combo and has some impressive CC capabilities including the longest grab time tied with the a class tied to the largest race but they have an annoying tendency to launch their targets in the air which is a huge no-no in group play.

Any melee class requires more skill than any ranged class for PvE. Ranged is at a huge advantage in PvE in this game.

If you're good at your job as a tank, you'll be in demand as a Blade Master. If you have trouble with melee but still want to be in demand, roll Warlock.

Just don't roll Summoner. The only thing worse than a Lyn is a Lyn screeching commands at another little useless furball.

Basically as long as you're wearing any outfit you get soul shield buffs. What you're actually wearing doesn't matter, as the clothes don't give any stats.

The only thing about this, is you have to have something on, regardless of what it is. You will lose stats for wearing nothing, but all outfits give the same stats.

You can pretty much solo everything if you have enough gear, except current content, and raids.
Leveling is not too bad, at most a week would get you to max level. If you want to play with bnsg, getting maxed gear before going legendary might take a week.
Garb, like outfit right? The outfit in this game does not provide stats, it is the shield shield (non-cosmetic) that does.
There is a wardrobe (F3) in the game that shows you every cosmetic your character can wear, and you can also preview what other races would look with a default character of that race if the costumes allows. There are a few outfit that is gender and race specific, but not a whole lot.

Up until ivorymoon, you can practically live off of all the blue weapons that are given to you in story quests, and don't need to touch purple dungeons still. Viridian coast is going to be slower than with HM weapon, but a AO pentagonal diamond should offset that a little.
