Certain fish cannot be caught unless you have the Fish Eyes buff up, and the buff length is actually unique each fishing location.

There's nothing in ARR that requires Fish Eyes, but there's a decent number of HW big fish that do require it, and some require it AND a successful mooch, but you can't really spare the GP to use Patience so it adds a bit of difficulty that normally you'd just truck right over the top of.

If I were the kind of person who got super mad at fish, I would claim the fish were trying to create artificial difficulty and that I should be allowed to use dynamite in response.

Need some serious tips of WHM. Ever since I hit 60 and started doing stuff like Alex and Extreme primals, I've found myself simple running out of MP (some of it has to do with me having to res, but let's ignore that for now). Am I really not allowed to ABC (always be casting)? I can keep people up and be efficient with my heals, so I instinctively DPS when I don't need to heal. But I'm quick to run out of MP even when using Shroud around 80% and whenever it's up again alongside Assize for that extra 10% MP every now and then. It just simply does not feel like enough.

tl;dr: do WHM just sit around there doing nothing so they don't run out of MP?

Oh don't you worry, I've been there. It's still less frustrating than the big fish that require specific weather patterns. I don't remember if there's one that requires specific weather patterns AND fish eyes, but there was a mooch one that requires a weather pattern.

HW Big Fishing is kinda mean. I spent two weeks just waiting for the CHANCE to catch one fish. I think the latest patch added the ol' "Gotta catch five of these so you can catch the actual big fish" gimmick though, glad to see that back after the Nepto Dragon made me want to chew on the boat.
