It's dumb because I'm a reaper main and can easily get gold or silver for every match almost for elims and damage but that doesn't mean I'm playing well.

My best reaper games are when I'm flanking constantly and killing key targets which won't get me gold medals usually.

On top of this if some genji and s76 only players join my game it's easier for me to win if I just swap to reinhardt or fill as a healer.

I'm not usually going to get many medals as reinhardt even I'm the smart player for picking him.

Also a junkrat spamming into rein+zarya shields is actually losing their team the game no matter how far ahead they are in damage

However, I find him so good in 3v3 atm. You pair him with a Roadhog and you'll always end up with your RH surviving the eventual RH vs RH fight. He's a snowball, once there's a deathglobe on the ground, you're liable to take more risks since you effectively have 300 health now, you don't even have to be the one to land the killing blow.

The hard part with Reaper is always the initiation, either you have to teleport somewhere and then camp at a spot until enemies walk to it, or you gotta wait for a teammate to initiate a team brawl.

Because you're not supposed to use it to get on top of the enemy team. You're supposed to use it to move to the enemy's side of the map without being seen. Pic related.

If you want a good place to try this out, try Hanamura on attack. Go to the left of the first chokepoint and aim your teleport inside the house on the right. Half the time, you'll get in there without trouble and see several enemies tunnel visioning the choke point.
