If it ain't the mesh, it might be vram. You can tell if the body's coal black and when you racemenu the polygons show up in different colors. Try cahnging the color too. I can't be sure though, your pictures are shit.
If it is that issue, I suggest looking into what eats most of your vram and either lowering that or using a less demanding body texture. (HINT: ITS PROBABLY YOUR ENB)

ECE's is extremely simple and primitive, but gives you very fine control.
RaceMenu's is much more user friendly and has more tools at hand that makes pleasing sculpts much less of a hassle. Has the added benefit of being able to sculpt all faceparts.

ENB recommendations? I prefer vibrant and alive over bleak and boring. I was thinking Tetrachromatic but I don't know if I can run it and I don't wanna fuck my shit up again.

Thinking about installing and playing Skyrim again, but I don't want to spend hours configuring shit and bashing patches and cleaning dirty edits. What mods would you recommend as must haves?

Gonna do the Unofficial patches + MCM/SKSE for sure.
I really like SPERG and have been told to try that with Ordinator.
Immersive Armors/Weapons are cool but I never really end up using or caring about those. Generally just spend the first half of a save file doing non-combat stuff and then walking into a rat cave in full daedric gear.
That being said, I like the mods that improve crafting/trading a bit, but I woefully underuse them. Harvest Overhaul is the only one I really made use of vs. something like Your Market Stall or whatever that one Barter mod was.
Used to always install Wet and Cold / Cloaks of Skyrim / Run for Your Lives but don't see much point in them for the most part. Cloaks just ended up being another enchant slot.
On the note of enchanting: I always wanted a transmog type of thing that would let you use any equipment you wanted with the highest stats you could obtain, within reason.

And from the looks of it, the Special Edition still isn't SKSE or MCM support anyways so no reason to grab that one still.

Depends. You can maybe venture into good territory if you disable some features like AO and DOF if you want to keep your frames up. Any machine can run any ENB, but at what performance cost is up to you.

tl;dr you won't know until you try. If your goal is 60 FPS, start with Okay.

Pretty much I'm just going to walk around doing every quest and running from combat like a little bitch until I have okay equipment while stubbornly playing on Legendary difficulty because that artificial shit gets me like crack cocaine

Your question is phrased weirdly. UUNP is the bodyslide version of UNP, meaning you can export it in different shapes. If you want an outfit that have the same shape it needs to be UUNP and exported in that shape as well.

Texture wise they're compatible, same UV. But like, that makes UUNP and UNP just as compatible as say, UUNP and Sevenbase, since Sevenbase is a UNP edit and one of the preset choices you can export with UUNP.

So, kind of.

It's better to focus on one. Lighting is the strongest but the other two can be played. A lot of stuff is immune to frost.

Check out the spellsword mod too that lets you cast spells by swinging your weapon.

What I'm asking when I say UUNP/UNP compatible armors is if the armors will keep the same body shape I create using UUNP, or will it default to vanilla or base UNP body shape? And what steps if any do I take to correct that possible disconnect?
