Instead of a hand holding session through the most outdated shit in game, the devs decided to freestyle it and gives no hints/directions on what to do for the next step in equipment progression. At least in games like Tera with avatar weapons, you get a giant glow piece of loot and a UI when you open your inventory that screams, "hey collect 12 pieces and you get a non-shit weapon".

If anything, HM weapon path should've been kept intact, 2 mwts and another brilliant key should've been shat out of quests/survey, change awakened profane to just "profane" and make the next tier ivorymoon. That's it, gook coders get to be lazy on the job and normie players aren't discouraged from playing the game until the grind™.

To be fair, it's not like it has anything else going for it. The story was never good, the gameplay and was always sub-par at best even by MMO standards.
It pretty much only ever had it's pretty environments and impossible to fuck up preset character creation.

Make sure you have all the dungeons unlocked and hop on /bnsg/ DC lobbies, we'll be glad to carry you until you're geared better. Get a True Ivorymoon weapon, then do Asura for accessories and soul shields. That should get you set for raid gear grinding.

Do DCs and purples with /bnsg/ for money. You don't need another source of income with all the l50 dailies now unless you just want to earn more faster.

If you're on Mushin and blue, you can definitely do SSP for all your soulstone needs. Not sure about other servers or what to do if you're Mushin red.

5-Asura/3-Twisted is pretty standard for an entry level endgame soul shield build. If you're having trouble getting those right away, though, the Yeti and Be Ido shields basically have the same stats, just with lower numbers.

Watch guides for your class for Tower of Infinity and start practicing that for solo grinding between lobbies after you get your entry level weapon, accessories and soul shield squared away.

Sin wrecks anyone who isn't very good at PvP and is always a tough fight even against its worst matchups. KFM has a high skill ceiling, but if you learn it and have a low enough ping, you can frequently stunlock people and 100-0 matches. Des gets hard countered by a couple of classes, but if you can get a combo started matches will be over in seconds against the other classes.
