I finally finished Amane's route.
You anons weren't kidding, her route was excellent. The ending was really touching, a beautiful and fully concluded story too.
Young adult Makina is mad cute too, good touch. Looks identical to her cutie psycho mother, Nice. Amane's grand daughter was a qt3.14 as well.

Not my favourite character but that was an excellent route, well worth the time. Now to finish off with Sachi. I hope that literal autist is worth the wait, Amane's route will be tough to beat.

I've had Kindred Spirits sitting in my queue for ... years now, probably. I don't normally do the whole female-protag thing.

I am really surprised at how good this is. All the events are in segmented, short bursts so it's convenient to take breaks, and the protag ... I don't think I've ever read a VN with a more likeable protag. She actually has a personality and isn't just some generic blank slate.

Pretty fun stuff. Though I don't care much for half the girls have bulldyke haircuts and male style sense. Yuri is not supposed to be butch-lesbian territory, I don't think.

Because of lot of these writers push girls like that as an alternative to the annoying-best-friend role usually filled by males.

They end up having a lot more chemistry with the protag than any of the main route girls because they're written in as a 2nd half to the protag. They are molded to compliment him perfectly. The end result is an absolutely amazing amount of chemistry with the protag which makes the girl that much more appealing.
