I've gotten up to stage 4 3 times now, but each time been RoL'd out after the 4 spirits nuke me. I eat to full as often as I can during this phase, but obviously that cuts my dps down. Can you brew fast enough to keep attacking and stay close to full hp? I wanna QBD but clearly my gear is shit and I don't want to wait another 3 months.

I find OSRS to be 'clunkier' than RS3. I'm also not going to grind out max again. If I could transfer over my stats, I would.

As much as the OSRS community shits on RS3, OSRS has the same sort of 'ease' in some areas. You can still grind out quests to get most skills to 50 fast.

The old '100% prayers' issue, guthans for afk training still exists? (I used to use guth at bandits, shadow warriors, daggers). NMZ, zulrah, motherlode, wintertodt etc. Zeah and the updates over the last few years really did improve the XP rates, drops and afk. It's still a game of 'go do slayer, it will help with EVERYTHING'.

They've gotten more power creep over the last few years, claws came back, AGS spec, prayers. It's a game where you can still 1HKO.

The added 'hardness'/autism comes from people 3 ticking and prayer flicking, mechanics removed mostly by RS3. So you can hurt your hand and get RSI for max efficiency and endless prayer or you can go the RS3 route of vamp/ss/sgs. Players will find a way to cheese the system either way.

Yes I am ranting, but both games have good and part parts to it. If OSRS could look as good (but remove the shitty cosmetics) as RS3, feel smoother and allow me to convert my max account across I'd play it more. OSRS isn't as 'hardcore' (difficult to level) as it was in 04-07.

I've begun skipping airut tasks whenever I get them. I've tried killing them in Kuradal's dungeon with aggression potions, but it's just not the same as cannonning on Mazcab. Mammoths mechanics are fucking horrible. Utterly random charge frequency. Can charge on weird angles etc. Rippers could OHKO if you were slightly laggy. Camels were okay, but the drops were still meh even after buffing.

The problem is also ping. I can get maybe 50ping on a local server, everything else is 150-400ping. Now if I can't do my slayer task on optimal world because of others doing it, I'm fucked if the content requires decent timing.

With 400ms ping I can be doing vindi etc. swap to shield, press res after the melee and have the press not register in time, getting hit for 3-4k, then res activating, then procing to the melee.

Sure if that's how you want it, play games out of touch with how it was built. I'll cite simple examples of how such high ping in other games makes them unplayable, primarily in FPS. Someone with that high a ping may not 'exist' in that particular spot when you shoot etc. Most server kick you with over 250ping.

It's just a clunky game and the good PvM people just get used to that clunkyness and adapt to what ever lag their used to.

What am I doing wrong when thieving in prif?
I'm wearing full exoskeleton with an ardougne cloak 3 but I can only pickpocket from one clan for between 1 and 2 minutes before they catch me and I have to move on to the next one. Is it because I'm not level 99? Everyone else I see here is level 99+ and seems to be able to stay at each clan for much longer

The higher level you are, the less likely you are to be caught by a clan. No matter what though, they almost always catch you 3 times after about 5 minutes.

Well, I don't know how far you are from 120 DG/all tasks, so I'm just going to assume you're 'almost done' as you said
Livid Farm is around 20 hours, Sagas will probably take 1-2 hours, Thalassus can't be more than ~30 minutes, Big Chinchompa is literally just playing one round of the minigame, Doric/Boric tasks is probably 1-2 hours, Annihiliator takes five minutes, charm sprites take a couple of hours but I don't remember how many. Bandos Memories are probably pretty quick, I don't even remember them.
No idea how long it'd take you to kill all bosses, depends on how easily you can find teams I guess. Aiding Lord Amlodd can an hour or two depending on your luck, rush of blood takes 10 minutes (assuming you aren't a shitter), Morvran's slayer challenge takes an hour or two depending on how fast you are and new varrock tasks probably take up a long and boring afternoon

I did some experimenting with the various thieving boosters as suggested. Crystal mask by itself is enough for me to last around 5 minutes per clan regardless of the level requirement. If I don't use crystal mask the elves catch me after approximately one minute of thieving. Light form and abyssal lurker (with scrolls) doesn't seem to have any effect whatsoever aside from making me have to restore prayer every once in a while and pay attention to my boost (which I have to anyway if I'm using the familiar to pickpocket elves with a higher level requirement)

I can live with casting a spell once every four or five minutes and being able to do whatever the fuck I want in between, but I still find it odd that I have to rely on the spell in order to be able to afk for as long as literally everyone else I run into. I looked at some of the other players pickpocketing the same elves as me and none of them had the Crystal Mask effect which means they were able to last just as long as me without using any spells or boosts.
