How do I play Kensei? I've been forced to use him a few times, so I'm level 6 with him, but I've literally just been spamming parries, lights, and the unblockable.

Use his step attacks. The sidestep lights, step-in top light (Helm Splitter), and step-in guardbreak are all amazing tools and give the Kensei much greater reach than people are prepared for. Also, if you're dealing with someone who you know can get around the unblockable top heavy, start using its cancels, whether into the side light or the uninterruptible side heavy.

Why does this game have a stamina bar?

Stamina is only used for attacking, feinting, and as a penalty when being parried. It doesn't cost any stamina to block, parry, dodge or roll and sprint away. So the only impact of the parry bar is to limit offence and potentially punish you for trying to attack too much. In a game where the primary issue is how strong defence is against most classes. So what the fuck is this bar for?

Next question: Why is Revenge enabled in duels?

People can defend themselves fully with 0 stamina, parry, GB counter, even dodge, getting someone to 0 stamina just forces LB to go on the offense, which he is NOT good at.

MAYBE it means he's supposed to be a defensive character for objective modes, but his killing power barely exists as is.

I only played in the open beta and only played as Warden and Raider, but I'm honestly surprised that you listed Conq with all of the characters that are actually slow. Conq seemed significantly faster than Raider and basically on par with Warden's forward counter swings (think the input was forward+R1 on a controller).

I'm in agreement with the balance surrounding the slow archetype but I don't really feel that Conq belongs in that list if some the others didn't make it in there

Warlord may be better but conqueror is nowhere near trash tier, he is still a good character. Warlord has more to his kit where as conq is fairly simple in comparison.

I love playing Conq, just play who you prefer. The only character who is objectively trash is lawbringer. Raider and Berserker are also trash but more usable. And Valkyrie will just do no damage.
