You can get a much better set of stripes for your american flag. Take a look, there should be one that's like, diagonally split with one half being wide stripes. Enlarge that until the non-stripes half is almost invisible, then cover it up with the blue field.

Same. Parrying went from working mostly to never working, same with GBs. I hit it mostly at the same time and it seems to come down to a coin toss every time and its becoming frustrating.

In Story Mode, why are our characters named based on their class? The Warden, The Raider. Don't they have actual names? There are plenty of other Wardens and Raiders about so how do they know who they're referring to?

I literally never miss a parry. But it's a bad habit because I try to parry everything and that means sometimes I won't even block quick lights if I can't parry them.

I try to parry these people who spam heavies and it just feels so unresponsive when I press r2. It's legit so fucking bad. Also my CB button just never seems to come out, even when I know they're spamming it.

i've been doing Peacekeeper duels constantly since open beta and all day yesterday since release

the once that have whooped my ass the most is Raider, Berserker and Kensei

i think every class has the potential to kick ass atm, but you gotta know the mechanics of your class as well as your opponent, how to guardbreak and tech, how to deflect and parry and knowing correct distances and timings

and ofc defensive play is the best way to go about it, counter attack and punish mistakes and mix things up well once you find an opening, if you repeat yourself you will get read and get rekt, that last part is really important, MIX THINGS UP

Your throw has some deceptive range but its hard to use properly since you need to be certain A. They missed and B. Their miss will bring them within range of the toss, it will only allow you to get a light attack in but it absolutely ruins their stamina so it can let you try to GB or do some fancy shit while they cant dodge or attack.

Use your high stance light attack if some faggot is spamming either GB or some other attack. It has deceptively long range and is fast as fuck.

You can't just expect to light/heavy them down. Learn how to dodge counter. Use her CC to ensure you get light hits in, but often. Once you dodge counter properly you can apply her bleed. She plays like peacekeeper with the range of nobushi. CC, get a few hits in, get out. She's not meant to be some sort of vanguard that can take hits and give hits. Zip around your enemies and do damage when THEY fuck up. That's what your moveset IS.

How the FUCK are you supposed to deal with Peacekeepers? Their heavies are fast as fuck and they have a heavy 50/50 from sidestep making them completely unparriable. I can either sit there and block taking chip damage or try to guess their 50/50 with a parry which makes me take tons of damage if i miss.

Their grab is extremely fast and difficult to tech and leads into guaranteed bleed damage.

I play Warden so I can't sidestep their sidestep mixup and get damage. If I try to attack they just sidestep that and hit me and if I try to guard break it doesn't work because they're always mashing buttons.

I'm having troubles figuring out what is worth comboing into what, throwing people on the ground with the back swipe doesn't seem to achieve anything. Trying to stamina drain people hurts my stamina just as much and they will still parry.

This game actually makes me sweat. I used to just play shooters and they never did this to me, but after my first night of playing I was literally sweaty.

What does "heavy attacks have superior block property start-up" mean on Conq?

So, one of the good cc's is your shield tackle (dodge back + GB). This lets you either get a huge shove in (GB again after holding for a while) or you can do a dodge up + light for a pouncing thrust. Low damage but it should let you move into another GB. If you DO GB, do it again to knock them to the side and then do back + heavy for a leg sweep. This knocks them down so you can either follow up with a heavy or a light if they're stupid. You have some cheeky dodge pokes, so try and dodge left or right then light attack for some fast damage. Dodge counter is the nicest though. Dodge counter by dodging in the direction of the attack with the same timing as a parry and you'll be able to do a heavy after for the bleed. This is a REALLY nice attack. Decent damage but super fucking hard to pull off. I've only done it by fluke a few times. Practice dodge countering a lot and you'll get it.
You also have your normal light attacks. They have superior block so if you attack at the same timing as a parry in the direction of wherever your enemy is attacking you override theirs and get your light in instead. Practice this a lot too because it's very easy to fuck up and means you take free damage.

For your combos, if you do get any off, replace the last part of it with a back + heavy for a leg sweep. Mixes it up and when they fall down you can follow up with a nice pouncing thrust or whatever it's called.

Main thing to get right is your dodge counter and superior block attacks. These let you not only stop enemy damage, but get your own in at the same time. THAT is what valkyrie is good for. Not just saying fuck you, but fuck you and take this as well. I'm working on it myself but I believe this is the best way to play valkyrie.
