Mostly context that ties in with Chapter 4. Ouma points out that as a Detective, Saihara's end means is always the truth of the situation. Because of his talent as SHSL Detective, Kiibo is able to believe in Saihara's own answer, but not without giving him a time limit. Kiibo still helps him however he can as the night goes on though because he WANTS Saihara to find the truth.

It's not just ignoring him- Amami outright says in chapter 1 that Kiibo isn't suspicious when people start bringing up that maybe a robot walking around with other malevolent AIs should be concerning.

The only logical explanation I can think of is they were all mindhacc'd to ignore him, especially since TDR clearly wouldn't want him to be a target for murder nor would they want them cluing on to his true nature by getting too familiar with him. Of course this doesn't explain Ouma's suspicion of him, but it seems like the most logical explanation.

It would have been better if he took on the Monomi role and sacrificed himself like her in the fifth chapter by helping in the set up of the trick and be executed with Kaito, growing out of his programming as an observer.

To be clear I don't necessarily mean Saihara as his rejection of Dangan Ronpa was amazing.

Maki feels like a re-tread of Peko and Mukuro except for surviving and she was just predictable in every way in comparison to many other characters (Tenko unexpectedly became my Best Girl), while Himiko honestly doesn't seem to do much to actually earn a survivor spot and both of them feel more like survivors that got a spot because of sacrificial plot armor than characters like Fuyuhiko who actually pulled his weight.

Pros:
>Characters are making you give a fuck about them. Also the best male cast in the series.

Toujou's motive for killing Hoshi is that, as Prime Minister, the needs of her people mean more to her than the lives of her classmates. While this is understandable to a Japanese audience (where politicians are taught to be respected as people of authority), in the majority of other countries, especially western ones where politicians are regularly scrutinized and mocked the motive comes off as considerably more selfish and cowardly, and the students reactions after the truth comes out is harder to buy as a result.

To be fair here, Hoshi was already dead when he was in the fish tank so not even Ouma or Angie reacting would have saved his life. What bothered me more was how little the cast cared about Hoshi when he offered his life as a sacrifice before in chapter 1 and he only kept his distance from people as he didn't want them to get caught up in his troubles.

Neither Komahina or Oumasai really work though, but I really liked the one-sided nature of Komahina while in Oumasai neither side really seem attracted to each other. Ouma is flirty and interested in Saihara, but there's not much chemistry there plus Ouma is flirty towards everyone. He's a romantic dead end.

It's up to debate how much of Ouma's interest is due to love or intellectual interest given that he correctly evaluated Saihara's potential to realize he doesn't need to play Dangan Ronpa to play it (Personally, to me he finds Saihara fascinating largely for his potential), but he does use words like 'daisuki' even when no one's around to hear it and he doesn't need to lie to himself when alone.

That's why I mentioned my opinion is more that Ouma finds Saihara fascinating and also frustrating, given that he uses 'daisuki' with regards to Kaede, Amami and allegedly Kaito at the end, and with all four he has reason to not see them as boring people.

They might have been a couple given enough years, but as far as canon goes Ouma was never going to let his true feelings be known, that's for sure.
