This is completely and utterly wrong. Back when I played a lot of operations, I regularly solo carried games as infantry. Because fighting is condensed into smaller areas its actually possible to rack up kill after kill nonstop. If one very very good player can make a successful push on one of the objectives then you've already won half the battle since there's only 2 for most of them. When I was playing very well, I basically felt like a hurricane of destruction, where I went shit died and you can essentially feel the defense breaking at the area you make your push.

Conquest is the mode thats impossible to solo carry and even top tier players playing very well can have very little outcome. There's too many flags, you can only fight and make an impact at one of them, a huge portion of the game in conquest is just running from flag to flag - even if you successfully cap a flag by the time you run to the next it's likely already getting capped back and you're relying on your teammates to hold it (this happens in operations too, but since the flags are generally closer together and theres only 1-2 to spawn at its much easier to hold). Look at a map like Fao fortress and tell me how you're going to do shit as a solo player on that map. 25 of your idiots are going to spend the whole game at the castle, 5 are gonna snipe from spawn, and that leaves you to spend 30 seconds running to a different flag, dying when inevitably 10 people spawn on it, and then looking at your spawn screen and watching as 25 people at castle somehow manage to hold neither of the points as they sit everywhere but on the flags.

This isn't a conq vs operations debate, I don't give a shit either way but the idea that your individual contribution in operations is moot is just completely and utterly fucking retarded

Hunter does not 1hit headshot at 20 meters like the slugger. Slugs are more reliable for longer ranges in general.. But I haven't used the hunter since before the nerf, because I didn't think it was fun. I use the m97 sweeper now.

it's probably the low rpm combined with poor ttk after 11m that makes it poo. the smaller head hitbox and faster strafing speed doesn't help things

in bf3, the arm had the same multiplier as the chest and the forearms didn't have a hitbox unlike bf1, so you wouldn't have your ttk go to shit if you hit someone's arms despite aiming for the chest while they were running across your field of view

I just launched the game and checked my classes on the "Weapons & Gadgets" page which were all 10 before the patch and they all got the excess points added. My Assault and Medic classes are both level 22, Support level 15, and Scout level 14.

The "Customize" page however shows my classes at 10 but the exp bar progress matches the ones shown on the "Weapons & Gadgets" page so it's probably bugged.

Love the new blind mode! Was playing a conquest game on monte grappe and got to check it out. Nothing on screen but the HUD. It wasn't impossible to play because floating blueberries and spotted enemies had the circle above their head, but wow dice. Nice patch.

It amazes me that they didn't add those. The livestream about the patch yesterday even had the fucking guy that makes the medals, ribbons, and "progression for the game". He admitted that they took the ribbon ideas from the medals and when the crew was asked on chat if they had added resupply and revive, he said that he actually didn't think about that but may add that in a future update.

I wish I had screenshotted his fucking name and face to plaster all over this thread.

Also, check out your weapons tab in the soldier section and learn that even though Dice said that we would all be starting at level 10 of the new classes, you are actually at the adjusted level!

I have no idea why more people don't use planes properly in BF. They have a a very slight learning curve to go from crashing on takeoff to pounding ass. The requirement for skill only comes in when you faceoff against another pilot who knows what's up and even then unless the other player is considerably better than you it's pretty easy to stalemate.

I'm rank 7 pilot and so far I have only seen a single other pilot who was actually good. I have been absolutely shitting on people almost totally unopposed whenever I get in a plane and I'm definitely not a top tier pilot.

Any changes to the hellriggle?

Okay just given it a go and got a 6 kill streak. Seems awful at long range now, but still fine at low to mid. I think the large mag was always the best thing about the riggle so it still seems usable

It's shit unless you're in range to shove the muzzle in peoples' faces. Use MP18 or Automatico if you're not in shotgun range.
