Smellywood does look like he might have been done on the same medium (probably colored pencil on paper scanned in) but he's obviously way uglier and his special animation was done digitally like most of the units are.

The only thing Camilla has on Minerva is the ability to tank a magic hit, and breath attacks do magic damage. I've tanked a hit from Tiki with a 4* Camilla before, though it's not the sort of thing you should be doing often so it probably shouldn't make too big a difference.

Minerva can also buff fliers if you plan to use a Brave/Killer Lance user alongside her, like Hinoka who also has a similar buff. Running 3 fliers is a bad idea around Takumi though, so you're probably stuck with a mage/dragon and your own Takumi or a Dancer.

Except this is bullshit because everything doubles her. She can't survive a turn with all the reds + takumi + armored units + other green units, all of which fuck her up. The only things that don't fuck her up are blue mages.

I just mentioned I used Camilla to tank a Tiki hit before, and I wasn't even using a 5*. Granted mine was probably a +Res. I guess everyone else can just use an Azura for Hone Res or Cecilia for Rally Res instead. Being able to successfully bait out Linde is super important for clearing some maps with no deaths, but it's still not super common to see her due to her rarity.

Flashcards were actually a way bigger problem, though. Not PSP levels of bad, but still pretty bad.

3DS at least has a really long instruction list and the threat of bricking/banning as barriers of entry. It's not difficult, but it's more intimidating to idiots (read: most people) than hacking.

Also, Nintendo was doing really well at the time, so people weren't seeing purchases as attempts to buoy a sinking ship, and digital distribution hadn't happened yet, so they were more willing to pirate away.
