Then stand on meteors. You shouldn't have to because there aren't enough meteors to justify a BLM running, but you can still stand on one and stay in range of imps/Diabolos. BLM is incredibly good at nuking any of the adds in any of the fights. The only job that should be outDPSing you as a BLM in Dun Scaith is a MNK, assuming you're trying, which you should because Dun Scaith is fun as fuck

Not that guy, but I am a healer main and finally decided to try Dun Scaith on BLM this weekend. Wow it's a lot more fun to just DPS and not do anything at all instead of setting a world record for Raise casts in a 5 minute period. And yeah I was surprised how easy the fights were to learn the timings on, because I'm really pretty bad at black mage but do okay in there.

If only I could get the chest so I have the accuracy to do other stuff. I've run it like 10 times in the past couple days, only saw it once and some ass with a 270 chest rolled over me and won it (i have crafted 250).

Every time I queue I get a group with 2+ other casters too it seems like. I got a group with 4 other BLMs on Sunday, I just left.

To me healing/tanking anything Dun Scaith is 10x easier than DPS. Not sure why but I guess itsj ust because of how predictable healing is even in 24 mans. Only outlier is when multiple people die to one move, but that doesnt happen that often after the first week or so.

Dun Scaith is kind to every single job in this game, it's one of the only cases where it actually manages to be, too. Healing Dun Scaith is actually too easy to me, because you can trivialize just about everything. Even anyone getting caught by shadows is easy to heal because you will just outregen the shadow damage with a roused Eos/Divine Seal Medica II/Aspected Helios. Playing BLM lets you watch huge chunks of health disappear from gates, hounds, hands and Connla. But as a healer, you just have raid-wide damage to handle unless your tank is the MT, and even then the damage they take is so little when a tank mitigates. And even when they don't, the only real threat any of them truly face for them to need drastic emergency healing is a barely-stacked-for Blindside

No, I spent a lot of my early scripture getting 270 weapons for the other healing jobs (I like playing all 3), plus I have distinct sets of gear for each so I have the entire healer set aside from the hat, chest, and neck. And I've gotten absolutely shafted on loot in savage, literally gotten 3 pieces for alt jobs after 14 weeks of killing a12s.
