He's right about one thing though, there's not many places for this kind of knowledge because the game is still fresh so you'll have to develop the experience to know who counters who and what does what and so on.
I found that discussing the game with anyone really helps.
Another thing that helps is watching experienced YouTube dudes talking/discussing/playing the game as well. I've learned about a couple mechanics that I didn't know about before through watching videos of these dudes.
As far as text/websites go though, I can't really help you there because all you'll find is gimmicky guides on agora.gg that aren't all that helpful either.
Hopefully I helped, though it isn't much to go by. I'm sure the game will have more accessible ways to this shit once it develops/more people come in.

True enough. Any character can juke and jive extremely well, too: I solo'd a Murdock and Steel in the jungle a few games ago just by being tricky with my movement, and my team's Fey last game went from full to no health trying to get the last hit on a particularly good Twinblast.
Here's a tip for fucking with ranged players: get right up in their face and circle strafe them while attacking, most of them can't process it for some reason.

Just going to throw out a mechanic tip out here: when playing Countess, if you are almost dead but still fighting, use your blink right in front of them (sounds retarded right) anyways you'll become invulnerable for about a second fucking up the enemy autos, then your cooldowns will be up and you can finish off the enemy with your Dark tides and blade siphon. You can even quickly blink back since the enemy is moving like a retard around you.
I've outplayed a khaimera and countess doing this, even after they both ulted me.

Although ebin games is releasing a hero every 3 weeks to fill the roster it's not like they start working on one fresh every 3 weeks most of these guys have been in production many months ahead of time as we knew about aurora from leaks from at least 4 months ago.

I mean you really can mitigate a lot of what she does with counter picking at the draft. Her ONLY redeeming parts are her escapes and you can pick around it. You can get items like tele blink. Her damage is shit because they all depend on your opponents being dumb. You literally have to play badly to take BONUS damage. Hoarfrost doesn't do any damage unless you touch it. Her ult does half damage if you aren't clustered and can bet cleansed into nothingness. that leaves her with escapes that lose to stuns, silences, roots.

Escaping doesn't win games. desu get gud and counter pick counter build m8.

Well no shit, the thing is not only dangerous (which they realize since it drinks mana like chrome eats ram), but it's also bait. Thing is, the fucker needs 4 hits to get taken down.

So the best situation would be at the beginning of a team fight right at the center of the action (not at the center of their team), then when they try to attack it, seismic assault and bomb them for damage, all the while the drone keeps sucking away their mana. By then they should either have taken enough damage from you and your allies, sucked dry of any mana for mages with escapes that need it, so you can chase and ult one of them for the kill while you team gets the rest.

For 1v1, they run more often than they attack it, and will try to destroy it or just wait to push with their minions again while pushing with their minions so that you can't get them since the minions will target you otherwise. If you know for certain they will engage (dumbass Khaimera or Aurora), then place it behind or beside you and bomb them, if they take the bait and attack it instead, seismic and bomb them (bomb's recharge time is ridiculous), then ult

I wonder what the range is on her ult or if distance doesn't matter so long as the target has wound stacks on it.
If range is irrelevant, then her potential to remain a constant threat in fights is next level.

His AoE heal sucks though. I do ok with him but his healing is only worth the huge mana drain when you're in a 3+ group, and teamfights benefit way more from the stun and getting involved than AoE healing and kiting about like a melon.

I've seen people that build him damage do very well, but it's rare. His stun interrupts ults and his ult is a huge pain if you're in a team fight. Imagine a damage Narbash with absolute control of purple buff just wading in to a big fight with ult ready and teammates that know what they're doing.
His heal's also pretty good early on with shepard's phial/ circlet/ overflowing gifts, but late game it's more a tool to make sure someone survives back to a safe place rather than actually healing them.
