If you can download from eShop, do it, then use GodMode9, sysnand sd, find the game, mount its romfs, use Y or something to copy (don't remember exactly), and then paste it somewhere on the SD. exefs works the same way.

If the game isn't available on your eShop and its titlekey is available but not encrypted, then use the "Download only titles without encrypted title keys" from the titlekey site, then use the November release of Decrypt9 to encrypt it, then use funkeycia to get the ticket using the options -keyfile -ticketsonly -title <titleid>. Then install the ticket, download from CDN and use godmode9 like I described before. You can also download the cia locally if you copy makerom to funkeycia's directory but I havent tried this.

The interesting part is that they haven't added the QR Code scan option, so the only way to get stuff like Gohanks and some other QR exclusive Japan shit is transferring save to JP, unlocking them, and transferring back.
Also in JP, they didn't give you those new characters for free either. You had to beat their respective Raids to unlock them, while to get their siganture moves (Divine Wrath, Final Kamehameha etc) you had to reach certain minimum threshold in online rankings.

The guide says it may take many tries, but what exactly is many? Because Ive been trying for the past 20 minutes. I find it odd becasue I hacked my o3DSxl and it worked on the first try. Now im hacking a friends n3DSxl, and its giving me trouble. I'm following the guide exactly. Should I restart the 3DS after each failure? or just keep opening the file?

I hacked a friend's 3DS a while ago, and he's been loving life. However, when trying to delete a game, this happened:

>get message saying there was no saved data for that application
>hits accept or whatever
>no titles show on the settings
>goes to menu
>no titles there either

The thing is, the games are still in his SD, they're taking up space and the extra data and save backups are still on the console. They just aren't showing up for some reason. He is on Sys 11.2.0-35U using A9LH with Luma.

Is there a way to just recover the games or is that just dead space on his SD card and he needs to format it?

Go to Settings, Update, check "Auto-update title keys from URL".
Below that, click on the left-most button. This should start the camera.

It's a copy of the NAND running on a hidden partition of the sdcard, which took 1GB on O3DS and N3DS. Back in the day, this was the only safe way of having a patched system on latest firmware, using a vulnerable sysnand to launch it with other exploits (menuhax, mset, browser), and also a layer protection for bricking. It's basically a dual boot. It also requires extra work for making DS and GBA to work. A9LH obsoletes it, so only outdated shit like rxTools and gateway, and lazy faggots still depend on it as their main CFW. Luma does support it but it's pretty pointless unless you wanna use it as a testing environment, or wanna still dualboot, but at least use A9LH to launch it.

Just a quick update about the new Nintendo 11.3 firmware support on Emunand.

As indicated before, we are working really hard to release as soon as possible our new major update that will once again revolutionize the (N)3DS scene.
