This is my shitty poor man's NG deck and it's about all I can afford right now. I teched it specifically against Weather Monsters. I don't have Vilgefortz or Cantarella but I'll add those as soon as I get them.

Any thoughts?

Looks good, yeah Vilgefortz and Carantella are more or less must haves for the deck, even more Carantella. So i'd go for her first. Instead of Albrich or this 10-mage. Whatever you find less usefull. Personally i would cut Albrich.

Also the 5-strength archers can be pretty useful, as they have 10 power in the best case. They also synergies with your cows as you can remove smaller units with it. Personally i would cut 1 Thunder, and both 7 archers for them. Or keep one. Keep on trying.

I can't tell you that. That all depends on whatever is going on in the match. Sometimes you NEED scorch or D-bomb, and sometimes all you need is straight value, or another Rot Tosser. Maybe you need card advantage for Cahir, and you didn't draw Cantarella yet, so you can do that. Just do what feels right.

That's why the combo is strong, because it's so flexible.

You're probably right about the Arbalests, but they're not good against weather. I'll try taking out one thunder and one Pikeman for them and see what I like. I know the Spearmen are slightly worse against weather than Pikemen, but they're better against other control, so I value them slightly more.

People insist on calling weather OP whenever it is playable. It is a cornerstone archetype of monsters. I would suggest CDPR make woodland spirit/caranthir 800 scrap cards, the value for 200 from them is insane which makes them very common to see which is probably annoying a lot of new players who see weather being common, easy to build, and strong and want it nerfed into the ground again.

First round combo wins you the round without any golds so there is no point for BB, second round you're playing stennis, nenneke, shani, ciri, and borkh and then sergeant so BB doesn't get much value there either. In theory yes, but meta decks usually cant run many units on one row due to the prevalence of control decks. Therefore Keira is mostly wasted. She's good in Henselt and Foltest decks, but you won't reach the highest ranks with them anyway. Same with Phillipa. Awesome card, barely used because meta decks don't run big units.

Wounding Skellige and Rot-tossing Nilf can fuck Monsters up pretty bad even with a lot of weather. Dwarf rampage decks as well, depending on luck of the draw.

When you start playing, you have shit decks. To get better decks, you need to score wins. Therefore, there has to be an entry-level deck so that new players can advance. Literally every entry-level deck aside from Weather Monsters was destroyed in 0.8.60, so *of course* everyone who has yet to assemble a Radovid, Morvran, or Skellige meta meme deck is playing Weather Monsters to get out of the god damn ghetto.

Reiability is king in this game. Mad Rad the Lad can delete other control cards like Yen (who is also hilariously broken, especially in a Skellige deck, bitch needs to have a charge limit on that skill) or Borkh while his own troops fuck everyone's spawns up. Self wounding with smap of Stammelford or is some Kambi meme deck? I have been playing casual with my Kambi meme deck and been doing great, sadly I am rank 15 and I don't think the ladder is a place for experimentation with meme decks. I usually ended up with +25 from Hjalmar + 15 Morvark and maybe Ciri and restoration as my last play and usually I cycle regularly all over my deck. Winning round 1 is a pain in the ass though.

Should there be a daytime mechanic?

My idea:
The game has a default time state. Then you can play event cards that change the time. For example: Full Moon, sets the game to midnight, and Glaring Sunlight, sets the game to noon. And of course cards that wipe all time effects.

What would this do?

-Night time could draw Nightwraiths and Werewolves from your deck
-ST ambushes could be more effective at night
-Noonwraiths are drawn from your deck when playing sunlight

Of course my examples and execution are quit bad and imbalanced, but would you agree with the general idea of day and night time?
