literally they have to do to fix sfv neutral is tweak some hitboxes and active frames, tone down dashes on a per character basis, speed up walkspeeds on a per character basis and decrease the input lag as far as possible

why are they so against addressing these issue? i dont think it would completely ruin the in your face aspect of offense in V that they want to go for, you should still be able ot go that once you score a knockdown or use one of the 345693406 insane corner carry moves so many characters have. there would just be more and improved neutral once people can whiff punish on reaction and actually see dashes instead of whiffing buttons like madmen trying read stuff.

Soul Calibur usually has great single player, 1 and 2 at least (kinda lost track after 2).
Guilty gear Isuka has a beat em up mode that is pretty fun. If you're into that shit Tekken force on Tekken 3 is also godlike (and tekken ball if you have a friend to play with).

Mortal kombat is shit, don't fall for the memes.
Shitty average american film (with divorced dad and mom coming together again meme included) mode and QTE spam with le epic jumpscares.

SFV vs cpu modes are shit but if you're into cinematic bullshit it was at least better than MKX. Least it has dumb shit you can laugh at in some cutscenes.

Anyone who's been exposed to more technical, more dynamic fighting games will quickly pass on tekken. Other top fighters, namely Street Fighter, KoF and MK have advanced impressively in their latest installments; but the relic that is tekken just can't seem to evolve, furthermore many combos can be done simply by hitting 1-button, and the nearly "instant-kill" rage art moves are just laughably broken. Instead of a supplying a proper fighting engine, matches in T7 seem to rely heavily on "who can get their rage move off first". So many elements of the gameplay don't even require any sort of skill. In my book, slow motion over and over again also gets old very quickly. And in the end, it's more of a novelty or gimmick rather than an actual, thought-out fighting game mechanic. The charge is pretty slow though, isn't it? I think people just get hit by that because they are not used and don't have the muscle memory and visual coordination yet. I'm wiling to bet that if this game does get people that grind the game like an actual fighting game and put time into lerning to recognize startups and getting the muscle memory, it will be virtually impossible to actually hit someone at high level.
