Except that Lingering Will isn't bullshit. He's fair and balanced. Its moves test your reflexes and combat ability. Defeating Lingering Will requires a thorough knowledge of your own abilities.

Dustflier requires no learning. It's so big, that all of its attacks hit the whole field (roughly) except for when you're standing next to the staircase into the station.

So immediately the battle becomes a cycle of hiding while it attacks, then mashing A (because literally everything does chip damage so there's no reason to do anything else), and hiding again when you see it getting ready to attack (because its attacks are slow and predictable).

It's incredibly boring. It's not hard at all.

CoM system sort of. Obviously it would be the normal KH fighting with normal attacking but with a twist. The only thing I'm unsure on is how to work the RPS mechanic into it without it feeling cheap or irritating.

Attacking cycles through the medals but unlike CoM you can't cycle back without going through the whole wheel again, however you don't need to reload like in CoM, it just rolls over back to the start so you can keep attacking.
SP system is in but if you hit below a certain threshold (Something like a sixth of the Keyblade left) it will slowly regenerate so that you can always at least use one of the cheaper attack commands. Hitting non-bosses would yield you a bit of extra SP while attacking bosses nets you a tiny bit more than that, but not enough to just let you spam Curaga over and over.
Pressing triangle will let you use that medal's ability for SP with your cooldown from spamming it being having to use the medals again as normal attacks to get back to it.
Skills would probably have to be reworked, there could probably be something akin to 358/2 where you had Keyblade customization and you equip Scrooges to it to determine your skills. Scrooges would essentially come with one skill but could be merged to have multiple skills on a single medal or something to stick onto the Keyblade.
The side missions you do like for event medals and stuff in Ux could be done by Megaman Battle Networking it where you have a "medal trader" where you trade in medals you've earned in the field for newer medals. All enemies would drop story medals and you would slowly earn new medals with a higher chance of a new one the more old medals you put into the machine. Bosses would give their own medal or just something special like they did in CoM.
Story wouldn't have the filler 10+ levels but you'd still have to roam through levels like normal.
Bonus missions for better medals or skill medals or even newer Keyblades.

I discovered the reason KH3 took so long to come out and why they made a billion spinoffs before releasing it while washing the dishes.

Since KH2 had a 4 minute intro playing to the entirety of Passion with a quick recap of everything that happened in KH1, Com and setting up the beginning of KH2, they needed to have enough material to make ANOTHER 4 minute intro that recaps the last few games while a new Utada song plays in the background.

That's why Unchained and 0.2 came out! They're going to add scenes and spoil the endings for them in KH3's opening!
