Nope, not that anon. I haven't played Colors but I did play Lost World. I have the Steam version and I don't remember seeing any option for japanese on there. I am curious how different the dialogue is too. I do know in Generations at least Classic Eggman is referred to as just Eggman and not Robotnik.

In the mood to play some Sonic games, so I'm looking over the ones I've never played. Which ones would you recommend I try?

I've never played Sonic Pinball, Knuckles Chaotix, or Sonic Battle. Well, I actually think I played a little of Sonic Battle back in the day when I'd go to a friend's house but I hardly remember anything about it. Really long time ago.

I did hack my 3DS so Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice is an option but I've never played a Sonic Boom game before. I do like the show, though.

It does have single player. Just keep in mind that some story battles are horribly unbalanced, like fighting four Gammas with three lives each while only having two lives yourself, and getting some the rarer cards for Emerl will be a long grind. In fact I think some can't be acquired without playing multiplayer.

There's nothing wrong with who Silver the Hedgehog is. In fact, he has a lot of untapped potential if he were to be used again in a main title. What I think they should do is, of course, do something with his rivalry with Sonic.
Silver the Hedgehog is treated like another Sonic the Hedgehog, but unlike Shadow, there doesn't seem to be a real theme or idea on what exactly the difference is between Silver and Sonic. Shadow is a Dark-incarnation of Sonic. Metal Sonic is Sonic as an Eggman Robot. Silver is Sonic except.... uh... ???

Silver is a mysterious young hedgehog equipped with psychic powers that allow him to move things and confuse his opponents with the power of his mind, and he comes from the distant future to change his ruined future world into a peaceful one. He is an optimist with a strong sense of justice despite living in a world in ruin, and although his character is said to include forethought, he is naive and insecure when he's alone.

Silver is similar in appearance to Sonic, and even shares a familar enemy in the form of Eggman's descendent, as well as possessing the ability to harness the power of the Chaos Emeralds to use "Chaos Control" and manipulate time and space, along with transforming into Super Silver.

Basically, Silver is a psychic time travelling naive and insecure version of Sonic from the distant future. But like I said before, there isn't really a specific name to what he is as an incarnation of Sonic. Maybe the naive and insecure aspect is the main difference, contrasting with Sonic's wisdom and confidence? So where Sonic is saying this wise philosophical speech about his way of life and stuff, Silver is still learning those same lessons Sonic already learned and finding his place in the world. Hmm... this can actually put things into perspective well enough for Silver's character. Sonic's characterization has always been like a guy who already went through a ton of character development in the unseen past and he's long since reached that level where's gained a ton of wisdom and philosophy and stuff and he's the one helping others learn important life lessons. Silver could be the opposite end of the spectrum, a Sonic that has only just begun his adventures and hasn't yet learned all those important life lessons and grew to become a wise legendary hero. A Sonic that is still naive and insecure, with the short-temper and attitude that seems only slightly more visible in Classic Sonic than Modern Sonic.

In terms of gameplay, his Rival Battle in Generations is definitey a good starting point. What I envision is him being able to run at pretty much the same speed as Sonic, and pressing and holding the Boost button activates his Psychokinesis and he starts levitating over the ground at Sonic's boosting speeds and all the debris and stuff around the area is picked up in his Psychic field, and can be used as projectiles against enemies while still moving at those high speeds, along with using psychokinesis to affect the environment as well without losing momentum.

Since Silver is a time traveller who travels from the distant ruined future to change past events to create a peaceful future, Sonic CD's time travel mechanic can make a comeback as a staple of Silver's gameplay. Traversing between Present and Future versions of Zones, finding and destroying things in the Present version (or something) to change the state of the Future version and create a Good Future in that Zone. Similar to Sonic CD, Time Travel should be tied to Speed, although probably without the Time Plates. I'm not exactly sure what would trigger it, but through certain circumstances you should be able to travel between the Present and Future once you reach a certain speed. And maybe manipulating Time in general (without Chaos Control, like Sonic's Time Stop and Time Break) could become gameplay features as well

I like to think Silver is Sonic's reincarnation, Sonic's soul reborn as the Chaos Emeralds choose to bring him back to a world that needs him again. Originally because of Iblis, and then Eggman Nega after '06's reset.

Catching up on Sonic Boom, just watched the episode where Sonic goes too fast and phases out of his reality. So I guess about Sticks being a weapons master like some anons talked about a few threads back since I saw her using a crossbow. Wondering if she'll use anything else in the episodes I have yet to see.

While I haven't played a single Boom game nor read any of the comics I'm surprised by how much I've come to like Sticks. If/When Boom ends I hope she makes her way to the main games and main Archie Sonic comics. Which is really weird when you consider that Miles moving from 1610 to 616 made me hate the whole character changing universes and being integrated into the new one concept.

Hedgehogs are partially colourblind.

Look, any sort of blindness is not the case. Sonic and Shadow LOOK ALIKE. That is a fact in-universe and from a meta conceptual standpoint. Shadow was designed to look like Sonic. The story was written based around that fact. The military is after Sonic because of Shadow's crimes. It's not some conspiracy thing, they legitimately thought Shadow was Sonic. Eggman thought Shadow was Sonic on first glance. The news thought Shadow was Sonic. Were all of them color blind? No, Sonic and Shadow just look identical. Sonic being blue and Shadow being black and red doesn't matter, they still look alike.

To be fair we don't know if they look alike that much, all we know is that a superspeed dark blue/black hedgehog shaped thing was mistaken for the only known superspeed hedgehog on the planet to the armed forces using the CCTV footage they had of shadow.

Now as for AMY standing in BROAD FUCKING DAYLIGHT looking at a STATIONARY shadow you need a better explanation since she's supposed to be the expert on sonic she should be able to tell the difference between shadow and silver, hence the blindness working. Nobody in GUN mistook silver for shadow, right?

Everything about SA2's writing is perfectly acceptable when you headcanon the following:
1) Sonic was captured as a cover-up because they didn't want knowledge of Shadow going public. This should be incredibly fucking obvious considering they cleaned up the station and shoved Shadow in stasis for 50 years, and both Eggman and Rouge specifically mentioned that jack shit is known about the Ark without diving into top secret government files.
2) Sonic is the only heroic hedgehog in the public eye. This should also be obvious considering him and Amy were the only ones in the franchise up until that point, and Sonic has much more of a reputation for heroism. Even if the public doesn't necessarily know exactly what Sonic looks like, they hear "famous hedgehog" and immediately think Sonic, even if it isn't Sonic.
3) The sun was in Amy's eyes.
