So I was originally going to build a generic boring Ranger Bow Build when I tested some frost blades and realized HOLY SHIT those things can be awesome.
Currently at lvl 20 and running around with 2 cheap daggers, Multiple Projectile frostblades, herald of ice, and arctic armour.
I want to build this as a critbuild to maximize the ammount of status ailment.
Also, currently I lack a gapcloser and a reliable single-target skill. Was thinking to also get riposte (maybe even just run shield+dagger. I would probably switch Herald of ice for Hatred later on, simply because the latter scales properly with my damage.
Does anyone want to give some insight into this?
The basic questions to answer:
1. what damage to stack? Dagger/Weapon, Physical, Elemental?
2. Block or not? Riposte or not?
3. dualwield or not?
4. do "extra physical damage with [Melee weapon] modifiers apply to Frost Blades projectiles? Can't deduce this from the wiki page. their keywords are Attack, projectile, cold
5. Pathfinder or Raider?
6. Single target skill?
7. Gapcloser? Was thinking about whirling blades or flicker strike.
8. Mana sustainability? Poacher's mark seems promising.

Whirling turns out to be a crapheap, it immobilizes me for a while afterwards, way too long to be useful. actually thinking about flamedash or sticking with flicker.

Currently refunding points, grabbing the physical attack nodes and Finesse close to the starting position together with Heart of oak. also saw the master of force node further up, plain physical damage as well. but I don't know if there are many of those in reach left and where all the crit multiplyer nodes are. Hey, frostblades guy here.
I switched my Frostblades for lighting strike, because it deals way more damage apparently, with the drawback of slower projectiles and normal instead of extended melee range.
BUT:
If I stick with hatred and shield charge, I have 3 different elemental spells that gain damage directly from attack damage rather than being a flat addition.
SO, I was wondering if it would be worth it to get Elemental Equilibrium?

I abandoned Lighting strike in favour of Viper and Reaver and then finally got my first blade flurry.
Since eveeryone and their dog seems to run a build for that, I thought it would be a supercool skill.
Nope, turns out it's ultraboring. Just stand there and keep the button pressen.
Then on the other hand, we have Cyclone and wild strike.
Now those are awesome skills fun to use AND powerful.

I swear to god there's some weird fuckery going on with the reduced health recovery mod in maps

Guys I want to make a SSF char and get up to shaper and kill him, any build suggestions? My fav skill is cyclone followed by Icecrash but those are probably to reliant on Uniques to even get to that level of content

either Cyclone or Ice Crash would probably have a very hard time even with traded BiS gear

I could see totem builds taking down Shaper though, you only need good mechanical skill and decent reliable dps

vgrace is ok but you cant really build around it. its something you pop when you feel like shit gets dangerous

a. made the most grindable story area to be the ugliest, most boring-looking area in the entire game

b. made a4 extremely linear. almost as linear as a1

c. the writing/story becomes a mess

The harvest, kaom's and daresso's areas look quite well tho. Its mostly the 1st half the act that looks like shit.

a3=you backtrack a bunch to advance and have alternate routes and optional side areas

a4=once you break the seal you just go on a straight line to the boss room. it doesnt matter how you gain entrance to the boss room or help dialla break the seal, you just gotta kill all bosses in whatever order you want

My favourite level design of a hack&slasher so far was Act2 of Diablo 2.
