This is what I run. You can swap out Toxic Barrage for another nightmare mod like Frigid Blast if you want blast damage but it buffs the Corrosive quite nicely. Enough status and more damage than your current build and only another forma.

I like to be lazy with most of my builds(unless an experience booster is present to forma), so you'll see me half-assing with inefficient builds set to my own playstyle yet not far from effective.

Electric or cold on their own is generally better than magnetic, but both aren't as good in general as heat. Toxic is an okay third element against corpus if for some reason you haven't used it yet
I prefer viral on low status/RoF weapons because just one proc is going to be fairly effective and corrosive on higher ones to strip armor if need be
The only time you'd really -need- a build that isn't oriented to deal with armor (corrosive) is if you're playing with corrosive projection or some other countermeasure, or if you're playing a rare Augmented Enemy Shields corpus sortie

tldr the meme is corrosive + heat for a reason
Also remember that primed cryo rounds exists for primaries

In long missions you should be wearing the auras that strip armor anyway. Viral cuts health in half. Slash does damage directly to health, and fire CCs them.

setting aside the potential to strip armor, at very very high levels armor and hp scales up high enough that even modding against it for the best damage type multipliers is not worth it compared to temporarily effectively doubling your damage from all sources, and at even higher levels even stripping armor stops mattering as much as the viral proc (if you have to choose) - these ranges will depend on each enemy and if/how many corrosive projection auras you have, but generally speaking at like 0-20 you can use viral on everything, 20-500ish you should be modding against armor (corrosive or radiation) and stripping or bypassing it if possible, and past that if you can't strip armor you might as well just use viral

range at which viral proc can enable one shots < range at which modding against armor allows oneshots < range at which modding against armor and stripping it is ideal < range at which modding against armor doesn't matter but stripping it does < range at which you're fucked and should just use viral for the -50% hp

shields are another matter, and far less severe in terms of scaling, but also more easily bypassed, but it all depends on the specific group of enemies you're facing and whether or not they're immune to any of these things

tl;dr strip armor entirely and use viral for proc+mults whenever possible, modding against armor for strip+mults is more important the more armor there is up till a very high breakpoint

I got all the non gold mods from angst, I am bored of her. Just gonna wait for the next edgelord, hope its argon or memeing strike edge.
