The blink is a much better mobility tool than the pounce, it takes you out of the enemy FOV, can pass through people and has a lot more range, she also gains a massive damage boost after using it, Evie can teleport behind any squishie 2 shot him and blink back without incurring into any real danger, her soar is also much faster than Maeve's running speed.

Maeves pounce is a mobility tool but its also an important part of her attack, she can't use it to get above a target to disorient him or to disappear instantly after a Makoa hook.

I've discovered an annoying combo recently. you need Barik's healing station, forged alloy, and one man's scrap cards. this makes it so that they take constant damage from the turrets and if they destroy them you get a small sustain heal and if they leave them be you still get heals. it works on any flank really but the low health high mobility ones especially.

What i liked about this game is that most champions have pretty even chances against most other champions.

Maeve comes and has clear ways to come up on top against a good portion of all the champions available and then you try to come here and tell people that its just fine, that she can be killed, you're right she can be killed but there's no reason for her to be so strong that she always has the advantage and better chances to win against most champions.

Maybe you just keep going up against people who know what they're doing? I know whenever I play Maeve (so far three times) I'm lucky if I get a 1:1 k/d, and more than 20k damage. The daggers aren't that easy to aim, and if you miss your pounce you end up in a wall more often than not. Plus, prowl wears off the second you do anything other than jump around and run. I mean, sure she's annoying to fight if you're a low-hp champ (Skye's got a noose around her neck unless she keeps moving, same with Kinessa), but as long as you keep making the guy playing Maeve turn around then they have a hell of a time hitting you.

Depending on the range, they actually hit a bit below where the crosshairs are and have a very gradual arch. Plus, with how long they take to "fire", the person you're aiming at has already likely moved. Now, this isn't really a problem for the people who can actually get behind you and dagger/pounce/dagger/ninelives/pounce/dagger reliably, but for me it's a problem.
Torvald, I've found, is a fairly natural counter to Maeve since his beam tracks, he can seal her skills/attacks for a brief moment, and he's got more than enough "health" to tank the majority of her combo. Pair that with a hook and Maeve's toast.

Any champion can kill any champion with enough skill, with some disadvantage on either side.
Atleast thats what it was before maeve.

Since maeve can do 2400 damage in a single burst.
Champions with 1800 hp have no chance...
note that it is not maeve alone with 1800 hp, so thats not the saving grace for her high dps since other flankers have 1800hp with less BURST damage then her.

Hitscan currently is the only thing consistently killing her, couple that with high skill of the shooter. Not to mention that a single mistake on the shooter's part, and he will get insta-killed as well.
(i was home for 2 days, played 10 hours x2, so i played against her alot)
(tried her few times near the end of my marathon,it was EZ mode, evie main).

With her double jumps , she has pip's movement ability on all the time, note high jumping is an ability for pip
she gets high jumping for free. 24/7. making aoe very inefficient against her.

every champion, should be able to kill her in frontal combat, well not easily, but the chance should not be 0%.

Finally a fucking argument.

While it is a fact that Maeve can do 2400 in a single burst, you have to take in consideration that such Maeve player has to:

1. Hit the two initial daggers, dealing 900 damage
2. Hit pounce, dealing 600 damage (damage done is now 1,500)
3. Hit two more daggers after the knockback for more 900 damage, dealing now 2,400 damage.

Now keep in consideration that the knives have a different arc, and unless the target is braindead, he will be moving and attacking her.
You can combo that even more with Nine Lives to keep yourself alive and the Savagery 4 card, to heal you for 280 HP.

Point is, pulling that off also requires skill.
and while she is getting damaged, she might need to heal herself with Nine Lives + Savagery and that gives her the immense survivability that she has.
But! that combo can have its' effectiveness almost nullified if her target shot her using Cauterize, hurting her survivability a lot.
And that can also be more effective if it's two people agaisnt her, dealing damage and moving at the same time.

The part about hitscan is completely subjective and cannot be taken into consideration as a valid argument because doing so would make your claim that "Any champion can kill any champion with enough skill, with some disadvantage on either side.
Atleast thats what it was before maeve." baseless, especially since Drogoz can kill her with two rockets while flying due do the damage boost he gets in the air during propel, Pip can slow her down, and BK can kill her with; at tops, three bombs.

There is absolutely no problem in her having a dumbed down version of Pip's Weightless, since it only shows it's true use during Prowl, much like Pip himself, since even if she's double jumping without Prowl, she can still get hit by most, if not all, AoE attacks shot at the ground close to her or where she's about to land, and that takes us back to the skill-of-the-target problem.

I've won 15 out of 18 matches with him, just strap nimble on him get it to level 2 then start building caut and its a great finisher and tank, i play it a bit more passive than the retards who die on point over and over but thats because i try to die as little as posible so i can be there being annoying more time.

Maeve has that super fast 2.5k combo, fast projectiles that can apply caut more often, so you can't heal up fast enough, and that fucking knockback that might throw your aim off. I think that saying that best tank is flank tank is as silly as saying that best tank stays only on the point.
It depends on the situation, sometimes you need to play defensive to protect your people instead of going yolo Makolo in the backline. It's a team game after all. In the video half of the time his team dies while he is chasing kills and then he can't cap, because he's outnumbered and the only reason he won is that enemy wasted their ults.
But I agree with the fact that you should target squishies as tank, nothing as good as killing healers as Nando with caut. Just don't overextend and pay attention to your teammates.

Evie does MORE than 1k per shot after a blink which measn she can 2 shot most characters as well.

The projectile speed doesn't matter that much because she can blink on top of you and Maeve's entire combo takes longe giving more than enough time for a non-retard player to avoid it and if he got friends nearby, kill her.

Evie can use the cards that give a heal on blink or iceblock, the blink's range is much longer than the pounce and can be used at any time to teleport her instantly to safety, Maeve got to run away exposed and her pounce is a poor escape tool because of less range and she has to save it to do any damage.

Maeve is only OP against shitters that do not know how to stay grouped or play as a team.
Even the best Maeve may have trouble with team fights or people that can aim, she's not Evie.
Evie can teleport out of a fight whenever she pleases and soar away, even if she gets caught without a way to escape, she still has her ice block, and any non-retarded Evie will have a card for healing in the iceblock.

Maeve is only truly OP when her team is not retarded, and the enemy team is. She is very easy to track down. She only shines when her combo is done correctly, but even so, it's very easy to miss a few daggers/the pounce.
Her ult is not that bad, but you also need your teammates to actually try to kill them when you use it.
You may blind an ulted Makoa/Ruckus and save a teammate from death, but that's it on it's own.

Maeve needs actual skill and a good team to be used correctly, but the average soloq paladins player does not even know what 'team work' means.

So many trash aimers think they can play flank now so you're stuck fighting 4 v 5 if you get the bad aimer on your team.
