From what I can tell just by experimentation, foundation blocks like foundations, walls, or columns provide a numerical "support value" that decays by an amount the further away from the foundation you get.

If you cut down the pillars in the middle, chunks of the ceiling that require the support value from those pillars would collapse.

In ark you can't just leave the nigga laying there unconscious with some food in its inventory. If you don't actively pay attention, your potential tame is going to get fucked by either other dinos or the nigga is just going to wake up and go about its business.

Can someone explain to me why the fuck they made the server configuration so goddamn backwards.

Half the stuff you want to set at .2-.5, the other half you want to set to 2x-5x, and there's no rhyme or reason to any of it.

Like fucking Resource Respawn Speed Multiplier. What the fuck is that. Do I boost it to 3x-10x if I want them to respawn faster, or do I drop it to .2-.5?

If it takes 10 seconds to respawn at 1, then logically the multiplier of .5 would make it respawn in 5 seconds, and x10 would make it spawn in 100 seconds, but from what I understand that's not how it works?

Google is fucking useless because this game basically copy+pasted 90% of the engine from ARK and all I can find are ARK guides (even with "-ark" in the search) or useless guides that just say "change this to effect respawn speed!" and not telling you how the changes effect the spawns.

And don't get me started on the Day/Night cycle adjustments. Fuck me, could this shit be any more complicated?

I mean, if you like ark but your tired of Dino training and guns, Then Conan Exiles seems to be the ticket.

I find it vetter than Day Z, Miscreated, and Rust because surviving is rather difficult and monsters are tough, so not much PVP by default unless you join such servers...seeing another human being and teaming up to survive feels like a reflief, which fits the tgeme since you have been left to die in a wasteland.

It's buggy as shit, but they are fixing it constantly.

So far the crafting, base building feels good...down side is quests are buggy or unfinished and awaiting to be patched...went into a cave to fight a giant spider and there was no loots.

Graphics wise and character customization looks good, almost skyrim/fallout level.

It's had one server drop in the 3 days I've been on it.

Ark had this feeling when you first started, raptors chomping your shit (till bolas) so it was nice to have someone to work with to take shit down and survive together.

Conan does it extremely well with having a game populated with multiple enemies and not having a means to make the player insanely overpowered outside of regen food, if they tune combat to not be shit this game will be a masterpiece.

No more hurr durr brewing a'healing potions and that's it. Now potions WILL be good and bad.

The duration of the effects would be short, the duration of the aftereffects would be longer.
We Witcher now.

Complicated as fuck to make, but also incredibly fun if you choose to play as an alchemist because you can't just abuse your pots.
