I dont know if i want to get good. In traditional fighters the game tends to look better if you get to a higher level of skill because the mindgames get trickier, the combos get flashier and more consistent and rarely used gameplay mechanics start making the difference between winning and losing.

Warlord main here who had a 90% winrate in the last beta and the alpha (the one that actually had all of the classes).

He is certainly a lot worse now (but still 100% playable), and he is like a completely different character. Full guard is now much more situational and generally useless. Unless you're at 100% stamina it simply takes too much to go in and out of it. If you go into full guard, take a hit or two, then counter, you're nearly out of stamina (and that is from full).

The leap attack changes are pointless and overall not a big deal. It was rarely used before, and it's general function hasn't changed. It's good when you knock someone down (for Leap -> Headbutt -> Stab) to keep their stamina low and do some decent damage.

The change to headbutt is significant, because the ability to cancel it into guard break was one of his best tools. It being gone sucks, but it's not the end of the world. It was too strong before, I agree.

OVERALL - Warlord has gone from one of the best to a more mid tier character now. He is still good, and still able to hold his own and certainly able to win. If you were a warlord main before, don't give up on him! However, you really need to relearn the character, because he is completely different now. He certainly doesn't suck, but he is nowhere near how he was before.

I really think they need to reduce the stamina cost of going into full guard. I am okay with them removing the headbutt -> Guardbreak mix up because it was too strong. However, Full Guard is now completely useless. I'd suggest reducing the activation stamina cost to 8 or 10. That is more than before (so you can't spam it) but not as hard as it is now.

Just my thoughts from playing today. Any other Warlord mains here have any comments or opinions?

Can anyone who is good at conqueror tell me the secret to doing damage without your opponent being bad?

I've been winning most matches as conqueror by just changing guard and strong attacks while breaking most combos and some guard break here and there, light hits dont do enough damage though. But then I got paired off against an actual good Nobushi and he'd always live with a single/half bar of hp left.

I just dont know what i'm doing wrong.
