The actual difference is that ADC NEED to be good if they want to succeed while other roles can be the worst and still get free elo.

As an ADC you have the highest APM and the smallest positioning mistake will definitely get you instagibbed. Even if you play perfectly you'll still get "outplayed" by the likes of Syndra/Vi. Other roles don't care about positioning, have nukes, gap closers and/or are unkillable.

ADC is the weakest role currently and this is a fact.

It's that Riot have been meddling so much, everything else does like 50% of a ADC's HP in an ult and an ability, making it almost impossible to fight in a sustained fight as an ADC unless you're super super long ranged.

Honestly? They need to sit down and think "Gee, let's give ADC some useful defensive options out of Mercurial and GA.

ADCs kill people by simply rightclicking without any cds or downtime or chance to miss/dodge whatsoever when they have items and team to keep them alive and their targets in range. Just like most mages have to be careful with poking, even though they usually have more range. Shortranged mages are long dead pro-wise. But mages can usually combo their shit into something decent like cc-damage-moredamage and still have time to get back AND getting their damage done in a burst, whereas most adcs can't do any kind of burst at all and just getting 1 auto off isn't usually worth it since you're putting your fragile body with a lot of gold in it at extreme danger.
I don't know what riot will do but I expect they won't really do anything besides maybe some itemization rework so that adcs sustained damage will become considerably stronger than mages through early game to late game, which is really hard to do in this 40% cdr land and mages putting their spells off much more often than archers throw arrows and gunslingers shoot bullets, since for some reason in this crazy land spells fly much further and you don't need to come into almost melee for it.
If they decide to come further they could rework most adcs to become kinda caster-ish and basically make them physical mages, but I doubt they would go that far. Or you can increase AA range across the board but that's gonna born a ton of problems and gives a 3adc strategy chance to become meta once again, since in this lolbabbish game with no turn-rates being ranged is inherently superior to being melee and kiting is easy as hell.
In the perfect world they should revisit the whole damage dealing/taking paradigm and hit massive nerfs/buffs/minireworks on all roles and items at once but it's very difficult to pull that off and that will never happen either way.

BC is build by shit like darius and illaoi, they aren't tanks, and no tank will want to build item with that much absolutely useless ad in it, zero resistances and not that much hp to compensate. Getting cdr for a tank is piss-easy anyway, and phage passive while can be somehow useful isn't really worth it considering the rest of this expensive item. What about the armor shredding, well, most tanks won't be able to apply it effectively since they don't have that much offensive physical skills and zero attack speed.

I mean you can build whatever you want on anyone, I've seen jungle sions going bloodrazor and stacking atk speed, they even won some games, thing is we're talking about effective items since there is only so much slots in the inventory and you have only 4 skills and a passive and let's assume that your enemies aren't complete retards who will feed your cheese builds. No tank builds bc because it's not a tank item and it's a waste of slot on a tank, a waste of gold for a tank, it's a item which doesn't make a tank much more damagy but makes him way less tanky since you could get an actual full tank item instead of bc, so you're taking bc, getting into teamfight, staying on the frontline and taking damage like you're supposed to, then you're dead because you took shit item on a tank, then your backline dies because their frontline died, then you lose the game. If you want to TANK you need a shitton of hp and resistances and your every item is going to give those or you're not a tank. Any damage is waste and will make a difference between you surviving the onslaught or dying and costing your team a fight or a game.
