I don't think there is, it's set by how fast you do it. Or it's random.

For that matter, you don't have to wait for Weeding Day, as long as there's over ~50 weeds in your town, you can find Leif sleepwalking somewhere and he'll have you pull weeds. This also gives away Weeding Day items.

So the only thing you have to get on Weeding Day is the topiaries.

It's very simple! It's kind of confusing at first to figure out coordinates and such but it becomes relatively easy. I used to put four of the same flower around the house and then four around where it would go so I could check where it would be easier. Just MAKE SURE NOT TO MIX UP SAVE FILES! Ok so I probably most of people here knew about this, but I just got ahold of how to easily move-in villagers without much time traveling:

>Scan amiibo card
>villager house set to appear tomorrow
>advance clock 1 day
>(optional) do the plot reset trick
>when happy with villager ubication, return clock a day
>going backwards a day counts as a day forward (for some things like villagers plot,boxes and full move-in phases)

You can have the scanned villager fresh in your town and in move-in boxes without waiting a lot or traveling more than a day (which I don't like a lot)

Things like mail and tree growth can be a little funky tho.

also works to rest days to the villagers who give you a 10 days notice.

Im sorry for being so freaking stupid, but what do the amiibo actually do in New Leaf?
I bought the Isabelle summer outfit one on a whim, with no idea what im supposed to do with it.

I just scanned it into Wisp, he said "she is busy" and that was that. Nothing else happened.

What do the other amiibo do?

I know the best way to get villagers to move is to completely ignore them, but if I am unwilling to do that, is my best method to become best friends with them? Then they won't reconsider?

Poor timing, Isabelle must be in the middle of something Wisp can't get her away from like an event. Or you haven't gotten through enough of the game yet.

Wisp uses amiibo figs to make the NPC take a break and be in an RV for a day. RV cards work too, but regular AC cards just let you move them in or get a gift.
