It was. But even with the Hospital Ending there's the same dilemma that there is now: the story is inconsistent and it is impossible to prove the cause of the storm, and any link it has to Max's power. The only proof supporting that conclusion is the ending that shows it.
It's not a part of the story if you see the storm happen and just conclude it was inevitable (As it had been in every timeline shown).

Bongo caused the storm.
His ghost sometimes wanders Arcadia Bay and visits Chloe, but she can't see him except in dreams. He likes to curl up in Chloe's jacket when he gets cold since it's warm and smells like his mommy.
But one day Bongo was following Chloe into some strange room, the only jacket he could find was Nathan's, which still smelled like Chloe a little bit since he assaulted her. Bongo was angry at that so he stole Nathan's jacket off the couch but that opened up some dimensional rift that resulted in the storm since ghosts aren't supposed to interact with the real world.

Bongo is sorry.

The storm is for all purposes a natural event (regardless of whatever may have caused it). People are not bound to be in its path and they have the time/ability to escape, just like in any other storm. Not all of them do, tragic, but this is how tornadoes work. Most of them do escape or survive though.

The Bae ending works on the presumption that the storm cannot be stopped (And that trying to see if it could be is simply too great of a risk). There is no need for action because it would endanger Max, Chloe, and possibly everyone and everything else should the results of a new timeline be even worse.
The Bay ending is inaction, but on the scale that it's knowing someone will die. Someone is tied to that location and in the path of a bullet.

Visiting Kate was a nice addition. It shows Dontnod was listening to the fans for at least some time since they originally weren't going to show her again. I still wish Chloe and Kate got to meet in the game, but Chloe was in apology-mode so she let Max have some along time with her friend. Which is mature for Chloe because it's nice and also because she kept calm while in a place she hates.

Oddly enough, Vampyr is reported to have four endings. Which is what I thought LiS would have (At the least).

I really could see that happening. Both Chloe quitting smoking, as well as her wanting a Max-kiss whenever she gets the urge. In addition to all the gums and stuff that help.
I could also imagine Vanessa or Ryan watching them from the kitchen window, smiling. Remember how close they used to be, but how quiet Max became after moving away from Arcadia Bay and losing a lot of her confidence, must be nice for her parents to see their daughter's happiness return.
As well as to see how good her and Chloe are together (As you said, how they bring out the best in each other). Joyce also notices it whenever the two girls come over to visit and she will be glad Chloe stops smoking.

There's a few out there that do it. I think Ouroboros tackles stuff like that the best; Chloe mellowing out, her family relationships improving, and also any fears Max has after everything and how she learns to recover from them.
But there's a lot of fluff in that as well so it's not entirely realistic. Goes without saying that after everything, both of them are going to have some issues that need to be addressed and as strong as they are- they will need outside help from friends and family.

It would take a very skilled author, and someone who understands the subtleties of the characters, to be able to write a fic that seems like a real aftermath and recovery. But it would be awesome to read. I have my own thoughts (That I feel come pretty close to being realistic) but I don't know if I can type them all out.

I still wish Shelter would update. Leaving readers with a cliffhanger like that is such a tease.

I always assumed with it being a roleplaying-type game (character creation, open world and whatnot?), it wouldn't really be heavy on the narrative... but maybe more so than I thought.

I remember one outfit specifically, the one Louis wore on the night they first met. Combining the flamboyance of the fashion of the era with a casual manliness, and one of the fewer outfits in it that is color-coordinated in a way that would translate into less dandy modern dress. It's sad those loose, frilled shirts and extravagant overcoats have gone out of fashion.

I don't think you'll see too many fancy or elegant outfits in Vampyr. By that time people were becoming modest and the overall sentiment was very martial, and overly glamorous clothing would waste resources as well as possibly remind some of the "elites" that bungled the war so badly at its start. Plus it looks like it's in Whitechapel or similar, pretty shitty neighborhood where the poor and criminal live. Maybe you'll get to explore a nicer part of the city.

I don't think you can judge someone for that. Kate has led a mostly quiet and enjoyable life up to that point and then everything she believed in is suddenly questioned.
She doesn't fully know what happened to her (Maybe she even doubts someone harmed her, what if part of her thinks she's just remembering wrong?), friends and even part of her family turn their backs on her, and people from in (and outside of) Arcadia Bay will know nothing of her charity work and only know her for that damn video.
In a very short time everything collapsed for Kate and she was just not mentally prepared or capable to handle it. But thankfully Max was there to save her and once in a better state of mind, and seeing that people do care about her and that the culprits that drugged her were caught, she will be alright. Maybe some things she needs to rethink regarding some of her family, but she won't become that desperate again.

I was mostly just shitposting, but I honestly do think the whole Kate suicide plot was rushed. We only got to talk to Kate like 2 times before the end of episode 2. It felt rushed and I think that some more time spent getting to know Kate would have been beneficial to the story.

Also on a similar note, I feel that removing Warren from the story and focusing more on Kate, Nathan, and Victoria would have been more interesting. Maybe its because I'm cis-male scum but I didn't like any of the time spent with Warren. He's a pretty cringy character and doesn't even really do much in the plot. Focusing on Kate as a component to the main storey of the Dark Room and on Victoria and Nathan as the antagonists would have added a lot IMO.

There's really not much time spent with Warren so I never formed much an opinion on him. I don't like him but I don't hate him either.
As for Kate, her whole story depends on believing that it's an event that happened before the game's start and the effects are still happening or just being felt.
Which I thought was believable. From my years in High School, some stuff like that happened and it was widely talked about...until the next scandal came along and grabbed everyone's attention. After which only the most diehard bullies, that just disliked that person specifically, hounded on them for it.

I think maybe other characters would have shrugged it off or recovered from it, but since it shattered Kate's entire outlook on life and she thought it would follow her for life, it destroyed her.In her own words it was like a nightmare she could not wake up from.

Comfy! Among the scenes I wish were in the game, one near the top is Chloe sneaking into Max's dorm to spend the night.
Not even something that can really happen after either unless there's a good ending without the storm.

He's amazing, right guys? I mean whats-her-face is with Max all week, and only gets the "chaos theory" after Max explains that this is all her fault. Compare Warren, who gets it after a couple of sentences. Just imagine what would have happened if Max had confided in him on Monday. Max would have put everything right immediately and would have actually been able to live out the good timeline, not just jump back in time for the funeral.

Warren is harmless. Some geek that never had a chance at being more than friends with Max.
I don't hate him for being awkward. I pity him and hope he realizes what he's doing wrong, which he seems to do by the end of the game since he realizes Max is not into him and he accepts it.

The problems come from his character being pushed aside to make him a delivery for idiotic exposition by the writers, and from his delusional fans that see him as cute or whatever. I sincerely hope whoever is posting stuff ITT about him and bashing Chloe is trolling and being satirical(poorly)- otherwise I genuinely feel bad for them and anyone that has to know them.
