Battlefield General - /bfg/

Have been playing a lot of vehicles lately, They are massively OP when you can sit behind the infatry, but absolutely worthless if you push just that little bit too far. The light flanker tank especially can just rain down explosive nonstop. The rest of the weapons are just pointless because trying to actually fight other tanks 1v1 is a death sentence.

artillery is really the only one that you can do that with and it's boring. What I mean is you can sit over an objective using the flank light tank and watch it get capped and just annihilate any infantry that come by. sitting on the point itself is usually suicide for any tank.

most of my deaths is usually from a squad who get pissed they can't break through our infantry to kill me, so they take a plane fly way behind our line and then creep back up and swarm me with several assaults at once.

Anyone else play with foreign languages turned on? I always do it in BF games for some reason. usually polish or russian. it's funny how the voices are all serious but the spanish one sounds like a lazy cartoon character.

calm down hero, I don't think you understand how vehicles work in BF games. Charging in with your blinkers on to "ptfo" is going to get you blown up, or retreating to repair. it only takes on person to cap a flag, the tank driver that doesn't cap it all but kills that squad while it happens is having a pivotal effect. it's not even about conserving kdr even though it is super easy to go 50-0 in tanks.

the way stats and scores work in BF gives a better idea of how you are performing that stats in other FPS, but it's still far from perfect. A tank can zone and area of infantry with it's mere presence.

You don't rush in first otherwise you get blasted by assault classes, you carry the infrantry team by staying 10 metres behind team. Those 15 explose rounds the light tank carries BTFO everyone

Because the recoil on the Storm is not as manageable as the Storm and Optical versions of other Support weapons, while the bipod of the Low Weight makes the gun very accurate. The MG15 is not the best support weapon for running and gunning, but excels when prone or firing from cover. The best way to use it in a face paced scenario is to hit the ground immediately before firing and then unloading on the enemy team.

I don't say this idly, this is exactly how I used the MG15 Low Weight before I traded up to the Suppressive. The Lewis Gun Optical, the BAR Storm and Trench, and the Benet-Mercie are much better options for running and gunning.

Conquest and Operations are the only modes I play.

I've only played Rush, Domination, Team Deathmatch, and War Pigeons in order to get the medals.

Actually I did play a round of Hardcore Team Deathmatch to try and grind out service stars on pistols because I thought the kills would be faster, but it was so shit I only did one round.

In my experience there are far more awful bads in dom than in conquest or ops and they're all in a nice little map where it's easy to find them.

Getting 20-25 kills is pretty easy for me in a 6-9 minute game. I'd bet it's the easiest way to get high gun stats and pad winrate, though for big score you'd still want to team switch in operations.

did cav get nerfed from the beta or something? 37 damage body shots what the hell is that. you can't sprint and shoot, you fire slow as fuck. the only thing cav is good for now is getting to a distant point quickly or spamming grenades.

weather cycles are the coolest thing about the new maps, I'm just dying for day night cycles now. It will work much better in a more modern game since NVGs, thermal optics IR optics and so on will be totally viable choices. Playing during a snowstorm in the middle of the night for instance there would be so much variety.

scopes are shit. you'll probably get more work done with your sidearm than the rifle. spotting flares are the best part of scout. tripwire bombs are the only other decent gadgets.
