I get this unusual huge sense of satisfaction marching down the halls with the gun along my chest.

Also, I always thought the double hand function could potentially allow for multiple functions of a gun, since it makes it "technically" two items. Imagine getting a laser rifle, and shooting it like normal when one hand is active, but when you switch to the off hand and melee someome, it does more damage than normal because your cracking someone over the face with the butt of the rifle.

And it makes it so every gun has two activate function options. Imagine if the activate item key on the first hand is to use the guns scope and activating item key on the offhand ejects the magazine.

I'm okay with the potential of this. It always annoyed me that you gangster style one hand shoot every single weapon in this game besides the chain gun and beegun.

Here's the best guidance I can give you. New players like to get tunnelvissioned and think medbay is mostly about the big 4 damage types. Medbay is mostly about recognizing exactly what's wrong with a dude and knowing how to best fix it, the big 4 damage types are a misleading simplification.
You will have to deal with bleeding, low blood, and broken bones all very regularly and it's easy to fuck up if you just try to pill and cryo everything. Read through this once:

And give it practice in game. Grade yourself in "did I recognize what was wrong with this guy?"
