Oh wait, I forgot that this was the English speaking fandom overall, then again, it sold well enough to get a Playstation 2 remaster, and as even sold as a "Greatest Hits" addition, I'm surprised Alicesoft didn't come back to that.

In any case, If the game were brought here to America, I could definitely see it get even more popular. I've looked into it a little bit myself, and I am already quite fond of the plot and characters, some fans from Japan think that Yuuji is one of the better protagonists Alicesoft has created as well.

Well, if if the original or remake got translated, I could see a few people on /haniho/ talk about it, but the chances of it being translated are slim to none thanks to how old it is, like you said before.

Which sucks because most of the Alicesoft games produced in the classic era (1987-2003) were good stuff, definitely a lot better than some of the newer games coming out nowadays (I'm not saying any of the modern Rance games, Escaslayer, or Evencile are bad) but come on, the classics was where Alicesoft was at it's peak.

The boy all the way to the top left next to Rance is Kentarou, the two boys in red hair on the top row with swords and armor are the two main heroes of Toushin Toshi, which if I'm not mistaken has gotten an English translation, down there on the bottom left we have Nanas from Mamatoto, but I'm not really sure how popular he is in Alicesoft's overall community, the guy third to the right on the bottom row is Akuji, main character from Daiakuji, who I know is a badass, and the guy that's two away from Rance is Goro, the main character of Prostudent series. All I know about him is that TADA likes him so much that he reflected a lot of his childlike comic relief onto him.

Twice a year there is a soccer tournament with teams representing different /vg/ generals.

Next one is going to be late May/early June but we will probably qualify automatically now so won't have to play qualifiers.

In term of magic AoE, Shizuka is always better than Sill, unless you grind like crazy and get Sill to lvl 80. And Magic is always stronger than Sill at single target, even when Sill reaches 80 and Magic is at 68. Sel has greater healing which is handy in some fights that don't have AoE spell but yeah, Sill with lvl cap advantage is a better healer in postgame (at the last boss fight, Sel is better though. Because there is only 1 enemy backliner and she likes to charges. With greater healing, Patton and Rance should always at full hp every 2 turns).

Agreed, but I think she's still very useful at postgame. With 4 support attack upgrades, the activating chance is almost 100% and she ditches out around 2k dmg each attack, which means she can deal up to 12k dmg each turn, only Rance and Patton/Magic at their cap can deal more dmg than that in one turn. On top of that, each attack counts of regular attack and have a separate chance to interrupt, which means she's fantastic against charging enemy (you have double your chance of interrupt channeling compared to not having her in party).
If she doesn't get stucked at lvl 50, she would be the most broken shit in the game (as if she's not broken already). I always save poisonous potatoes (increases attack but lower lvl by 2) for her to increase her dmg potential. But again, I agree with you she needs some work for her surviving problem, which why I tend to pair her with Sanakia.

The game just throws you in there really, the two pieces of advice I'd give is to be on the offensive and think with your dick in choosing who to fight, everything else is fun.

Maybe a third piece of advice would be that you don't need to use every slot in battle early on, early on if you needlessly commit your entire army on every attack you'll have nothing to defend with.
