Main reason I asked anyways was because due to circumstances I'm on an older chromebook instead of my PC at home and the thought of backing up large files makes me want to hang myself. I'll do it anyways because I'm paranoid. I figured it was mildly dodgy, even if in theory it ought to be fine.

The root is the first folder on your SD card, you know, the one where all your other folders are and then first one you open when you open the SD on your PC.

The folder is the "starter" folder you downloaded which has the sound files.
Now you need to place those filed in the root itself, don't place the starter folder in it.

Try removing your themes from your SD card first, then setting the default theme, putting the themes back on your SD card and finally loading them again on chmm2. At least that worked in my case.

What's the easiest, no bullshit way of transitioning from 9.2 menuhax to whatever you guys are using now? it was a long process to get menuhax working in december 2015, but it was worth it because of piracy.

It installs it while downloading, doesn't save any intermediate files. However, the system is installing it to the SD card, so the cleanup is up to the system, which may fail after crash. But as long as you retry the install, it would install over any temporary files if they did exist.

My 3DS has been freezing up ever since trying out the new NTR preview.
After restarting my console, my theme reset itself to the default, all of my games went back into giftwrap and now clicking anything on the bottom screen freezes the whole interface forcing me to hard turn-off the system.

nds-bootstrap will never ever perform as well as a flashcard, or even acceptably well for most games.
It won't even play all the Pokemon games, let alone to an equivalent standard. I guarantee it.
That's just how the hardware is. The 3DS is not a PSP, Wii or PS2. The machine's design does not accomodate it. It will always be shit.
Nobody wants to have to use a flashcard, but that doesn't stop it from being the only option worth using.

R4isdhc.com cards have a date set in the kernel that will make the cart not boot (currently set to 2019). It's not permanent though, you can just set the date back if it happens to you. R4isdhc.com.CN aren't affected because they run a different kernel (Wood). R4ids.cn cards run Wood as well. I've tried both carts and the only difference between Wood on them is the r4isdhc.com.cn doesn't have RTS. Compatibility and features are exactly the same otherwise. RTS isn't perfect to begin with so you're paying almost have the price for Gold in some places. It's a really underrated card.

If you primary boot YSmenu you can avoid the date-check. But YSmenu isn't perfect on r4isdhc.com and some later games like Pokemon BW won't work. What you can do though is "dual-boot" the original menu for these problematic games, all you have to do is rename the r4.dat from the original kernel to r4.nds and run it when you need to.

Which games don't require me to update my ps4? I just bought gravity rush for my new ps4 and it wants me to update to play it.

I got Pokemon Moon installed on my 2DS through the freeshop, it all worked fine until the update came out. After updating the game I'm greeted with a black screen when I try to open the game. I've reverted the update already and it works fine that way but I can't have access to the online features though, any way to get the update working?

Dark tint removal won't fix the colors.
3DS has garbage screens with poor contrast and color density, everything looks better color-wise on my DSi than it does on 3DS. I assume it's better on IPS 3DS models but mine is TN/TN and it's simply inferior, dark tint removed or not.

Can take a photo if anyone is curious about the difference between DSi and 3DS with TN screens colors.
