Starting over at higher rates is fine, but having them at default when we're losing everything constantly will make no one want to come back at all.

Look, whoever runs the server just increase the rates until this game is somewhat stable and then do a wipe and set to standard gains. Otherwise losing progress on a day to day basis is going to just bleed the ones playing there.

Anyone have some protips on optimizing the game? I get stutters every couple of minutes or so for no reason. It doesn't matter if I switch from ultra down to low. I more than enough meet the recommended requirements.

start game, open task manager, go to processes tab, right click on conansandbox.exe, set affinity, remove check marks on all but 1 core. If stutters or seems to lag a bit, enable another core. My sweet spot was 3 out of 4.

Alternative server is being put up, should take about 20 minutes max for it to go up. Hopefully the provider runs Conan better than the OG server, but if it doesn't, we'll have to look into another provider.

Right now rates are 2xEXP/2xGather, but we might change that. And we have enough people with access to the server to be able to restart/unfuck itself pretty reliably 24/7.

Will reply to this post when its up and tested, also post if you have any suggestions.

Honestly out of the 4 or 5 i've played on so far, this has been the most stable. Others crashed at least 2-3 times a day as well, and a lot had bad lag to boot. I'm here 16 hours a day doing it for free. I've updated the server at 4am after getting emails and the longest it's been down was 1 hour and 23 minutes. The server auto-restarts to refresh (people think this is crashing), and today had a bunch of server related fixes that bricked hosts.

I've opened 4 support tickets, just today, while out of state complaining while being told every server is having the same issues. It's not me or the host, it's the game. It will be like this until they stabilize; on every server.

I like the game, but really feel like waiting to play more till it's more stable and more features are added in to flush the really odd crafting system.
