I'm not sure about how many xbone players are here but, im trying to think of ways to implement my elite controller. Its mappable and has four paddles you can use on the back.


Normally i just use default and don't use the paddles. I just like the comfy grip and weight to it.

One thing i noticed, is that i never sidestep, but i mainly use warden and conq.

The most coming thing to pair a arming sword with was a buckler for that oh so imprtant hand protection. However, bolognese treatises have sidesword + dagger in them. Sideswords are a small evolution of arming swords, basically just adding on small amounts of hand protection. It's possible that sword+dagger only showed up when the sword took the protection gained by a buckler, but it's also possible that sidesword+dagger grew from an already established arming sword+dagger that we just don't have a record of.

In any case, there are way more "realism" thing to hate for honor for but the PK weapons shouldn't be any near the top of that list.

Yeah but you're under the assumption that you can't press two keys at once to get similar movement than vs a left stick. The left stick is a bit more...free? I geuss that's teh word I would use. It has wider movement options but left stick positioning isn't really important in this game.

Yes, the left stick has more accurate. Being able to move something but a certain degree over something else (with the left stick) isn't really important. Being able to swap stances much more accurately and faster is important in a game where all fights focus far more on stance shifting than whether or not your character can more by 45 degrees or 90 degrees. You could technically win a fight without ever touching the left stick, you can't really do the same without ever touching the right stick.

The right stick has delay, or dead space, when shifting stances. The tiniest shift on the mouse will shift a stance in one direction of the other, and there isn't any noticeable delay. There's also no real neutral stance and it doesn't need to be held there either like how someone has to hold the right stick with their thumb in one direction to keep the stance. The controller has to shift from one end of the right sticks full movement capabilities to the other. It not only takes more time but as I said before, the mouse has far less input lag with stance swapping. If you used both input devices you wouldn't disagree with this.

I thought the delay he was talking about was a physical delay of moving the stick compared to an imperceptible movement of the mouse being all it takes to change direction. You also have to remove your thumb from changing stances to break a guardbreak, while mkb users can rebind to have their left hand covering guardbreaks while the right is uninterrupted in changing stances.
