These are also really dumb in design. The fact that there's no point in the center means they'll only penetrate the depth of the head. Flesh will bunch up in between the prongs, and stop the arrow from penetrating further.

Sure that might be kind of gory still, but it's probably not enough to be more effective than something like a steel or ebony arrow (which would penetrate much deeper) in a world where restoration magic is a thing. Your goal with an arrow shouldn't just be to make them bleed a lot, but to get deep penetration, and hit as many organs as you can.

Honestly it's one of those things where because there's such a top quality mod, everyone else just doesn't really try.
Followers aren't like quest mods, either you have a lot of varied, well voiced dialogue or you don't. And even if you do have some, it has to be at least if not more than inigo, or else people rip on the mod for that reason. And if they did, it would probably just be constantly compared to inigo, trying to copy that mod. So for most people, it's just not worth it.
As much as tesg complains nexus is a hugblox, it really isn't. So once the best for a mod comes out, that usually it.

I think more of the effort should be put into giving the companion a personality, and the best ways to do that is through idle chatter, dialogue interaction and a few personal quests. Thunderchild allows you to shout a fuckton of a lot. This may be excessive if you have rank 3 slow shout, for example.
Install it for the extra fun shouts, but I recommend removing the special shout perks and instead installing Individualized Shout Cooldowns:

Allows you to shout much more often without making powerful shouts spammable forever.

anyway, my favorite setup is

>Morokei(fixed)
>Amulet of Talos
>Blessing of Talos

Altmer's passive with Imperious is +15% enchantment power, regardless of source. So Morokei gives +22% shout cooldown reduction. Same for Amulet of Talos.
There's a perk in Ordinator that makes shrine blessings +50% stronger. So Blessing of Talos is +30%.
So you get +74% shout cooldown reduction. Absurd stuff.

If you don't want to play an Altmer, you can also use Summermyst and the Deep Breath enchantment. It isn't impossible to give yourself very high chances to reduce shout cooldown to 2 seconds.

One of the big problems I had with DoF before was that character would end up blurry no matter how far I set the "Far" range. This totally fixed that.

I've done that already, I even got the perk that allows you to sell any items to any merchant and the perk that allows you to trade with any calmed NPC.

The only skills that aren't maxed out are the ones I really never touch, like light armor, block, two handed and etc.
