There is no anti-shaman deck, period.

Even shit like dragon priest, freeze mage, or reno decks lose to aggro quite often because shit is just too fast.

Fedora warrior might be better against aggro shaman due to absurd amount of small removal, but then he gets fucked by midrange shaman as long as they remember to keep one hex for deathwing.

Both the power level and the versatility of shaman are ridiculous and shit is only getting worse ever since shaman started dominating the meta with the release of WOTOG.

I look back to the post-patron nerf meta where combo druid or secret shitter were considered the pinnacle of broken, braindead decks and when the unholy trinity of Shredder, Loatheb, and Dr. Boom were in every other deck. Then I look at the current meta and it's much fucking worse.

Team 5 is absolutely incapable of balancing the game, whether because they are incompetent, or because they don't give a single fuck.

Class identity is a joke. Design space is only applied to classes that aren't shaman, mage, or warrior.

Continuing to play this shit in hopes they would someday fix it is futile when the game is just getting worse every time they try. In fact, it's just enabling those retards from Team 5.

A lot of people who spend money on the game regularly might not follow the tournament scene, but they very likely watch the more casual streamers like Kripp or Disguised Toast.

What the vegan gypsy said in his recent vid was actually spot on, i.e. Hearthstone has no more room to grow in the casual market, especially with how difficult it is for a new player to play it without spending a substantial amount of cash. Games like Weebverse, Gwent, or Eternal might not have Blizzard's infrastructure and hype behind them, they are also probably more confusing for new players, but they are way more accessible due to more generous rewards and the collection gap between veteran and new players not being as wide.

Hearthstone can only prosper by appealing to the hardcore audience now so it would be wise to start listening to the autism instead of bullshitting about casual player experience. Of course, it's Team 5 we're talking about so it won't happen except for some plebbit lip service by Brode, especially as long the revenue stream is steady. So it all depends on how the new expansion sells, probably.

Having it trigger off of summoning two instead of one pirates might be interesting, but giving it 2 attack would be dumb. You would still essentially give the second pirate played a "summon a 2/1 minion with charge" effect while thinning your deck. Even keeping it 1/1 and summoning after two would still be way strong, cause all you're doing is delaying the effect one turn ( not even with a coin).

That would just make the card a bit too silly, and having it die would really make no sense unless it was thematic (I don't know too much of the Warcraft universe don't hurt me).

The effect I propose keeps it unique for a one drop and allows it to be relevant in multiple stages of the game depending on if one can keep their pirates on the board. But it would be quite the hit to it as well, I would like to find a middle ground for it without having three lines of text.

Well I'm really just addressing pirate deck issues, but you raise a fair point. I feel cards like Mistress and Zombie Chow can be somewhat justified because their effect provides healing for the opposition (possibly) and provide a way for someone to have some early game control. But, if all one drops were to be nerfed then they might need a bit of change.

Raven would probably need to be 1/2 as well, with buff potentials.
