Can someone help me with a dilemma?
After a second playthrough of 4U I'm thinking about finally hacking my 3ds so I can play online again. But my generations character is kind of a mess and I am considering starting over to organize exactly what I want before XX. However things like the toka questline and just well... everything are daunting.

Should I bite the bullet and put hard work into reorganizing my stuff or just make a clean slate and cheat in hayabusa feather, there is no way in hell I am doing that again

If you're playing alone, it will be hell. If you've got a team, get Trapmaster on top of the usual Offensive skill and it'd help the process a whole lot actually.

Get a sleep element on your SnS as well and it'd be even better. Chaining sleep bombs, traps, and flash bombs you could lock the fucker down quite a long time. Provided your team aren't complete ass he should be just about dead by the time you're done with your 15 flash bombs, 4 traps, and 2 sleepbomb sessions. The sleepbomb helps break his head on top of doing a good chunk of damage so make sure your team brings bombs as well.

However it can get some very good results for basically 0 effort by just spamming the vault attack because it hits hard, launches you over/through a lot of attacks and provides easy mounts. That the weapon loses very little in the way of relevant attacks, mainly losing axe mode stuff, in aerial style is just the icing on the cake.

(Element) Up +2 is the key skill. Generally you use a talisman with +11-13 in it so it fits without much trouble in whatever set you're using. The ice and water DBs are preferably used with Sharpness +1/+2 to reach white, unless you have a god charm you'll want to accomplish this with the Hellblade set. The other three are to be used with a crit stacking set with Elemental Crit, likely Toka.

The LBGs still want (E)U+2, but otherwise also need True Shot Up, since invariably the primary shot they use is internal, and then depending on what your charms allow you put in whichever you can of Bonus Shot, Ammo Saver, and Load Up, in order of importance. Also, don't use Dragon shots with LBG, it's never worth it. Use the next best element.

Which weapons do you think Brave Style will be the most effective for? Which weapons do you think will still benefit the most from another style, like striker or guild?

Personally, I think that HH, GL, CB, and LS will benefit the most from Brave.

HBG gets a roll-out-of-siege like Adept, except it's a full roll instead of the tiny twirl it was, and it can go into a sprint from it at leisure, and from it into siege with no issue repositioning to face the monster, all of which pretty much singlehandedly solves any and all mobility issues that have always been the weapon's primary obstacle, and still negating the need for any skills that aren't damage-pumpers. The accelerating siege mode is just the icing on the cake, but even without it I would already see it as having surpassed Adept in viability.

Not really. I was in one of those CQ challenge rooms once and either I was on a good day, it was a good team or the quest designers are just better than capcom. We were doing shit like five apex quests with shah dalamadur coiling glitchily through the air in the sanctuary (shaggy's map) and just trucking along, it felt challenging and stimulating but never frustrating; meanwhile a basic high rank garuga makes me want to rip the eyeballs out of whoever designed it, as does anything on That Area of the volcanic hollow. The combo is indeed could be done, but your phials are gonna run out after 5 bursts. There's also next to no opening long enough for the infinite combo unless you're fighting huge monsters like Mohran or Dalamadur.

Like kinsects and HH prowler is the sort of thing where you'll do shit damage but you can 100% complete every quest under time limit with it and it's easier to use without dying than most weapons. Kinsect is the most fun of those to solo with imo though.

If you enjoy the boomerang set up I find it pretty entertaining honestly since you're not gimping the damage (too hard).

It's more of a "carefree" approach since you have less to worry about in terms of item space or specific weapon movesets. Just chucking boomerangs and getting out of the monster's way.

The real downside comes more from having to train and set up a cat specifically for that build, which can take time, frustration, and at the expense of not being able to use any of the more goofy but lackluster skills.

It's not as good in gen so I'm not sure if it's actually possible to solo everything with it like it was in 4U but you can actually get a fair bit of elemental damage on the bug, enough physical damage to match the shittier final form weapons and motion values and stun values that might surprise you (they're ridiculously high). The blunt speed 1 bug is the one you want in generations (it happens to be the one you want, generally speaking, even if you aren't doing kinsect only), in 4U it was fleetflammer (stamina+speed, blunt). These bugs have reduced charge time, fleetflammer in particular takes only 1 second to charge. Charged shots have far more damage and stun. Then you pretty much treat it like a ranged hammer except uppercuts are most of what you use. Grab white when it runs out so you can keep running fast if necessary.

The way the best kinsect player I've seen does it is charge a shot, send it out, and then turn 180 degrees and redirect it back toward yourself before calling it back to eke out a little more damage on the return flight.

It's worth noting that with mounting master and trapmaster you can easily keep most monsters locked down between KOs, mounts, traps and flashbombs, and pretty much everything that isn't an elder dragon if you also use a glaive with para (the najarala glaive has para and a blunt bug) and actually hit the monster some. That's mostly what I used it for in multiplayer, a fun relaxing variant to LBG for locking monsters down and carrying shitters HARD (while looking good, since the only skills you need are trapmaster and optionally earplugs basically).

Benefits of kinsects are that they're extremely easy to use, the actual best KO weapon in the game and extremely safe to use (it's like a bow but with even better movement speed and you don't have to stop to take a shot or start charging, you can be in constant motion, and if your arrows miss you can adjust their trajectory).

Like every now and then I hear a faint roar when I'm an area where the wyvern isn't.

Like it's faint but I can hear it. Is every maps ambient sound include monster roars or does this only happen when a monster is in the next area?

Yes, you hear the roar from distant zones. I would wager that it doesn't matter how far away you are, but admittedly haven't tested it or seen it tested. It' sort of lets you know when your teammates have found the monster, and adds a bit of immersion
