just imagine pure 1v1 and 2v2 lanes. no outside influence. no guessing game, because that's basically all league is right now. you only have so many wards, sometimes even walking close to a brush just to ward it can get you killed because the jungler is in there, etc. you have to basically flip a coin every time you want to make a play. is the jungler sitting in a brush waiting for you or no. it's the most dumb rng thing this game has.

First of all support enforces meta. With no support all 3 lanes are more and less are same. Brushless mid slightly favor ranged but whatever. Now you can pick anything into any lane. No more

Third duo lanes are vastly different and players forced there out for role are heavily underperforming and drag down partner in process, that rises grudges again.

All this is gone. Anyone can play whatever they like, nobody is forced, nobody is triggered by immediate dumbness of partner. Everyone is happy. Instead of forcing conflict among players like it happens now. You give 4 undividable apples to 5 people, it WILL end bad.

Darius was my go-to-pick against Riven because even if they'd E in to my Q and take the Handle damage, it was still more than enough to make the trade worth it. Now it's not even enough to get through 50% of her shield.

He used to go even in a ton of match-ups now he can barely go even if you're lucky.

He's a champion that abuses mistakes, which is why he excelled in low elo, because low elo players make more mistakes than higher elo players (no duh) so the person that nerfed him is clearly a low elo shitter that lost to a Darius on his tank champion.

Riven is exactly the same as Darius, in the sense of being; Oppressive, abuses mistakes and has unbelievable trade potential. But Riven doesn't get nerfed for having the same lane-play as Darius?

I don't think Riven is a good analogy because when you're ahead you can dive much more and be much more oppressive in lane.

I'd say Fiora is really similar in a way. Fiora punishes not only mistakes, but it can outplay with the riposte. It also is a lane bully type of champion who can force all ins that she always wins.

Also in the same patch we had Jayce running around for months, ever since he got buffed somewhere in 6.19, doing exactly what Darius did but even better in lane. Jayce has the most oppressive lane there is, the biggest lane bully around. You always get behind Jayce because he's so opressive and gets you off farm.

Yasuo was a very high skill high risk high reward champion to pick. He had a lot of horrible matchups that could ruin him (which is why he saw such limited competitive play, and limited high elo play). But Riot decided to nerf once again for no real reason. Yasuo wasn't overpowered. What happens if you nerf champions that are not overpowered? They become useless and pointless to play.

Yes that's true. It's ultimately the reason why DotA balance works and a lot of heros get picked each tournament and why that doesn't really happen in League.

You can put Darius, Fiora, Jayce, Aatrox, Warwick, Wukong, Riven, Irelia, Xin into one category. If you want this type of champion to lane with, you play whatever is the most powerful statwise for it, not whichever you feel that you are best at. The only role Riot has somehow figured out to make somewhat unique is support.

This is another thing of Riot: they're buffing something that was balanced. Nobody really complained about lethality being useless, except some silver bonobos. So Riot thinks ''hmmm assassins are not performing because lethality is bad!''. Now they buffed a mechanic that was balanced. So now it becomes overpowered. Riot also frequently buffs things that are balanced into something overpowered. The most annoying thing of all is that when Riot does this, they never just revert the buff. No no no they got to change something else just to prove that they weren't wrong. In the case of lethality they probably nerf lethality runes and make lethality items more expensive or remove some lethality from them.

The most stupid thing is that assassins weren't even doing bad. Talon wasn't bad, not super viable. If they wanted Zed / Talon back into competitive play they should've just buffed those.

Lethality wasn't even bad, Kha and Rengar were just as broken in 7.1 and now they're even stronger in 7.2 due to lethality changes.
